MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Coming Soon – Meet Mint! 💚 Mint is newer to our rescue, and here’s what we know so far! This handsome 2-year-old, 60-pound Doberman Pinscher mix came into our care very emaciated. Thankfully, with proper nutrition and lots of love, he’s already gaining weight and starting to thrive. Mint is currently in a foster home with two little boys and is doing well with them. He enjoys playing with and lounging alongside the resident dog, but his absolute favorite pastime is unstuffing a stuffed animal — consider your plush toys warned! Once Mint gets to know you, he is a total love bug who just wants to be close to his people. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to help Mint blossom! 🐾 If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. MBR Farm is offering ONE Free Private Training session for dogs adopted from us in the month of March. That is a $125 value. Any additional session will be discounted to $80 per private session for an unlimited amount of sessions. No limit, no time limit. Your first session must be completed before May 1, 2026. After May 1st the cost of your first session will be a discounted rate of $100. For more information about training offered by MBR Farm please visit http://www.mbrfarm.com Age: 2 Years Adoption Fee: $450

Story
Nikko was handed down to me by his original owner who could no longer care for him. Had him for several months but unfortunately I can no longer give him the attention he needs due to busy work schedule. He's a very sweet and friendly dog. Very well potty trained and knows not to go inside the house. Can be stubborn at times but always very playful. He gets along with other dogs no problem. He's also great with kids! Loves to play and has never hurt another pet or person. Most dobermans have a reputation for being territorial and aggressive but he is not like any other doberman, everyone says the same thing when they meet him. I want him to find a home where he can get the most attention, love and care that he deserves. 8 years of age.

Layla is a 4.5 year old red Doberman. She is AKC certified and up to date on shots. She is good with other dogs and cats. She is great with older children- but not small kids as they make her nervous. She loves to cuddle on the couch and be lazy. She will run and play outside when it's warm and loves walks.

Story
HIHELLOHIGUESSWHATITSME 🙃☕☕☕☕ I’m Lucy Goosey and I have had EXACTLY FOUR ESPRESSO SHOTS and WOW I CAN SEE SOUND. Okay. Focus. Deep breaths. Just kidding I don’t do deep breaths. I came in as a stray on 2/18/26 which is WILD because clearly I belong somewhere with a backyard the size of a small continent. They think I’m about 3 years old but spiritually I am a caffeinated Olympic athlete with zoomies scheduled every 12 minutes. Let’s discuss my talents: 🏃‍♀️ Running. 🏃‍♀️ Running faster. 🏃‍♀️ Running because I thought about running. I could absolutely win “Most Energetic Dog Ever in the History of Energy.” I would like room to run, stretch my legs, perform interpretive dance, and possibly invent a new sport called Competitive Lap Jumping. Speaking of laps — WHAT IS PERSONAL SPACE? I’ve never heard of her. If you sit down, congratulations, you are now a Lucy Chair™. I will be in your lap. On your shoulder. Possibly gently standing on your soul with love. I have never met a stranger. If you exist? We’re best friends. If you breathe? I love you. If you blink? I missed you. I do know how to sit. I promise. I REALLY DO. But sometimes my brain goes, “SIT!” and my body goes, “PARTY!” and then we are both just very excited about everything. With practice (and maybe treat-based negotiations), I can absolutely demonstrate my academic achievements. TREATS. I love them. All of them. Crunchy? Yes. Soft? Yes. Suspiciously shaped? YES. I am not picky. If it’s edible, I support it. I am a very happy girl. Like… aggressively happy. If happiness had a mascot, it would be me sprinting in a circle. If you are prepared for: ✔️ Unlimited enthusiasm ✔️ Lap invasions ✔️ Olympic-level zoomies ✔️ A best friend who thinks you are the greatest invention since squirrels Then please apply immediately at the illustrious Richland County Dog Shelter in Mansfield. 📞 419-774-5892 📧 dogs@richlandcountyoh.gov It is an application process, which is good, because I have VERY HIGH ENERGY and you should be prepared. HURRY. I HAVE SO MUCH LOVE AND IT IS BOUNCING. OKAY BYE GOTTA RUN AGAIN 🐾💨

Story
Remi is a 4-year-old Doberman with a big heart, a big personality, and even bigger potential. She is deeply loyal, incredibly smart, and always tuned in to her people. Once she trusts you, she communicates beautifully — whether it’s alerting you to a mouse hiding in a container or insisting you come check on an opossum that fell into the pool. She observes everything and takes her role as household protector seriously, but without aggression. Remi LOVES tennis balls, toys, fetch, and running. She was an Amish puppy-mill momma for much of her early life, likely crated far too often, so the freedom to run and play now means everything to her. She needs an active, outdoorsy family who will include her in adventures, take her on car rides (she loves them!), and give her the physical and mental stimulation she craves. Remi is energetic, playful, and occasionally tries to “bulldoze” her favorite humans when excited, so she's looking for a forever home with adults and dog-savvy teens.  (No small children).  A physically fenced yard is needed to provide a safe space where she can sprint, chase toys, and safely burn off energy. Remi picks up new tricks quickly and already knows wait, sit, stay, down, touch, and heel. She’s obedient, eager to learn, and food-motivated — treats make her forget her fears when she’s unsure. She’s leash trained, crate trained, swims, rides well in the car, and delights in anything involving toys or fetch. She’s also affectionate to her core. Remi loves snuggling on the couch or in bed and gives the sweetest “hugs” by wrapping her front legs around you. She’s a true lap dog at heart. Remi likes other animals — dogs, cats, and even the foster home’s macaw, whom she curiously but respectfully observes. She can be dominant with dogs but is also responsive and respectful. She is timid and shy with new people and unfamiliar situations, needing slow, hands-off introductions. She may bark or stomp when unsure, but once she decides you’re safe — especially if you offer her a ball — she warms up quickly. Remi Would Thrive With: • An experienced adopter with Doberman ownership experience • An active, outdoor-loving family • Dog-savvy teens or adults • A securely fenced yard • Someone patient and willing to help her gain confidence • Plenty of toys, balls, and playtime Apply for Remi at www.DUdobes.org   Doberman Underground adopts to Ohio and some close in parts of bordering states. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *  Sponsor Me by purchasing: Toys / Treats $10.00 USDLeash & Collar $15.00 USDMonth of Food $35.00 USDMonthly Heartworm/Flea/Tick $40.00 USDTransportation Costs $60.00 USDVaccinations $100.00 USDSpay / Neuter $150.00 USDThyroid Panel $150.00 USDIncoming vetting $300.00 USDHeartworm Treatment $1,500.00 USD  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 2, 2026, 8:18 am
