Story
4/19/25 We have EXCITING NEWS!! Nova is on a trial adoption!! Nova is an energetic girl that needs to know her boundaries right from day one. She needs someone that will keep her in check. She is good with dogs of all sizes and does doggy daycare at Paws by the Lake. She is approximately 3 yr old Doberman weighing 50 lbs. Nova is a compact small Dobie with your typical Doberman personality. She is loyal, athletic, energetic and super smart. Nova would love to find a home with someone that has had a Doberman in the past and LOVES the breed! She is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows basic commands (sit, stay, down). Nova has been professionally trained and she loves to do her obedience sessions. She loves agility too! Nova is food motivated and that is very helpful to get her focus. She has not lived with a cat so a cat-less home would be best. Nova would do best with a fenced yard to help with her energy level, but she also needs structured walks. Nova is looking for an owner that understands how smart she is and has time to exercise her and stimulate her brilliant mind. Nova is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Nova has not lived with children, so an adult home is best. If you are interested in Nova, please submit an online application so we can learn a little about you to make sure Nova would be a good match. We do not do out of state adoptions, due to our trial adoption process. Adoption fee/donation is $100.00 If you have specific questions, please email the adoption coordinator at info@loveastraydog.com If you can't foster or adopt, please consider donating to help us with medical expenses and ongoing care. You can mail your donation to: Love-A-Stray, P.O. Box 125, Attn: Nova, Avon Lake, OH 44012 or visit www.loveastraydog.com for credit card/PayPal information, adoption application, available dogs and upcoming events. Thank you!

Story
We have had King since 9 weeks old. He is an AKC certified Doberman and neutered. King is currently 8 years old , shots up to date and has no known medical history. He is microchipped. King is a family dog, does well around children and puppies. Although he is good with puppies he is territorial when it comes to other dogs, may be best to not have other animals unless a puppy. He is exactly what they call Dobermans; a Velcro dog. King loves walks and enjoys being with his owners not alone . He is house trained and follows commands.
