Story
Meet Riot! Yes, her name is Riot. And yes… it fits. Riot is a 3-year-old female Doberman who came to us as a stray, so her past is a mystery. Was she a secret agent? A professional snack investigator? A competitive leash-pulling champion? We can’t say for sure. What we can say is that she lives life enthusiastically and with absolutely no half measures. Riot loves food and treats with her whole heart. Truly. Passionately. If snacks were a love language, she’d be fluent. The upside is that she’s highly motivated to learn. The other side is that unattended food on counters may mysteriously disappear, so it’s important to keep your counters clean. She also pulls on leash and can get jumpy when excited (That’s just what happy girls do), so she’ll need an adopter committed to continuing her training and helping her channel all that energy into good manners. With other dogs, Riot is playful and very, very enthusiastic. Think “BEST FRIENDS IMMEDIATELY!” energy. She would likely do best with a tolerant, playful dog who won’t be overwhelmed by her big personality and high excitement. She means well—she just believes friendship should happen at top speed. Her history with cats and kids is unknown. If there are children in the home, they should be older and sturdy enough to handle an exuberant Doberman who occasionally forgets her size. Slow, thoughtful introductions would be important in either situation. Riot is looking for an active adopter, ideally someone familiar with the Doberman breed or other working dogs. Dobermans are intelligent, loyal, and thrive with structure, exercise, and training. Riot is no exception. Beneath the chaos and comedy is a bright, affectionate dog who will form a strong bond with her person and be an incredibly devoted companion. If you’re searching for a quiet couch potato, Riot would respectfully like to suggest you keep scrolling. But if you’re ready for laughs, loyalty, and a little bit of lovable mayhem, Riot might just be your girl. Just maybe hide your sandwich first.
