Story
This young guy was found following other dogs home. He seems to be ok with female dogs and tolerates some males. He is sweet and needs to find home soon as his owners have failed to reclaim him after several attempts.

Story
Rocky is a sweet, playful pup who loves fetch and cuddles. He had a rough start in life due to his birth defect that left his hind legs paralyzed. Despite his difficulties, he definitely knows how to enjoy life to the fullest! He doesn’t know he is any different than his foster brothers and makes friends with everyone he meets. He loves kids, cats and dogs and never meets a stranger. His hobbies include running outside in his wheelchair and playing inside in his scooter. His care usually consists of snapping him into his mobility devices and letting him go. He wears belly bands inside since his bladder control is slightly limited due to the paralysis. Luckily, aside from this he is house trained and tells you when he needs to go potty. His temperament is very calm for a puppy, though he will experience the zoomies on occasion and burn some rubber in the yard! If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Rocket is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.April 5, 2024, 10:47 am

Story
He was found at about 6 weeks old left in a box outside of PetSmart. He had a bacterial infection at that time, so we got him to a vet quickly and has been going to that vet for shots/checkups since. Currently, he lives in a house with 3 college students, and we are no longer able to give him the amount of attention he needs. When given adequate attention, he is a friendly and playful dog, however, since we are not able to give him that attention anymore, he is starting to act out (potty in the house, chew on furniture/walls, excessive barking/crying). He has had some training, but does act defiantly due to some neglect.

Story
This beautiful girl was underweight and basically lived in a kennel. I took her in, in hopes I could get her healthy and find her a loving home with the things she needs. She is a very loving girl but since she was basically always in a kennel she was not socalized so she is timid. But she loves other animals. She needs alot of love and some good training. She's about 1 year old and a few months. Currently she's about 40 pounds. Her breed and age she should be around 55-60. Slowly but surly getring her to a healthy weight. She is not fixed but since she was so malnourished she has not had a heat yet. Her shots are due in April.

Story
Marlie is 4 yrs old, super sweet, eager to please, great with people. She is crate trained, rides well in the car, walks well on a leash & is potty trained. Marlie is on the high energy side, needs regular exercise & mental stimulation. Although she is beautiful, she is the product of very poor breeding & has had two knee surgeries so exercise doesn’t need to be intense but should be facilitated multiple times a day, such as running in the yard or playing with another dog or swimming. She will do best in a home with consistent routines & a fenced yard where she can run. She is good with male dogs but no cats. Marlie struggles with anxious energy & reactivity to unknown dogs when they are near so training and regular “calm time” help. She is a typical loyal velcro Doberman who craves being near her owner & will be a great go-everywhere dog with continued training & consistency.
