Story
This young guy was found following other dogs home. He seems to be ok with female dogs and tolerates some males. He is sweet and needs to find home soon as his owners have failed to reclaim him after several attempts.

Story
This beautiful girl was underweight and basically lived in a kennel. I took her in, in hopes I could get her healthy and find her a loving home with the things she needs. She is a very loving girl but since she was basically always in a kennel she was not socalized so she is timid. But she loves other animals. She needs alot of love and some good training. She's about 1 year old and a few months. Currently she is about 40 pounds. Her breed and age she should be around 55-60. Slowly but surly getring her to a healthy weight. She is not fixed but since she was so malnourished she has not had a heat yet. Her shots are due in April.

Story
Marlie is 4 yrs old, super sweet, eager to please, great with people. She is crate trained, rides well in the car, walks well on a leash & is potty trained. Marlie is on the high energy side, needs regular exercise & mental stimulation. Although she is beautiful, she is the product of very poor breeding & has had two knee surgeries so exercise doesn’t need to be intense but should be facilitated multiple times a day, such as running in the yard or playing with another dog or swimming. She will do best in a home with consistent routines & a fenced yard where she can run. She is good with male dogs but no cats. Marlie struggles with anxious energy & reactivity to unknown dogs when they are near so training and regular “calm time” help. She is a typical loyal velcro Doberman who craves being near her owner & will be a great go-everywhere dog with continued training & consistency.

Story
Loki is a sweet, happy, smart 17 mo old boy who loves spending time with his humans. A true Doberman, he can be very demanding & stubborn, but with daily exercise and the right continued training & encouragement he will be a wonderful companion. With continued help on his socialization he will be able to overcome his excitement when encountering other dogs/people. He is still immature & does not realize his size & acts like a big puppy. He needs an experienced owner with large and/or working breeds who understands the need for consistent training. He can be a great hiking companion, running partner & just all-around best friend to the right family or individual. He just needs the opportunity to show his goofy & loveable nature & you will be hooked. He rides in the car well, is crate trained and knows basic commands. He needs time to mature & that is going to make all the difference for this guy. He has incredible potential but only in the right hands. He is specifically available to homes where someone is home at least part-time, as an only dog, OR to a home with female dogs of similar size & to homes with children over 8 years old. He has previously lived with children (7-14 yr old & done well.) His original family had some life changes & could no longer make the necessary commitments to keep Loki.

**FOSTER/ADOPTER NEEDED** Great temperament! This guy is is Jager. He's a perfect patio diner dog, road tripper, walker/running parter and he's totally down for being your co-worker (dog bed) companion. Jager is apprx 2-3 yrs old & was adopted from an 'all-breed' rescue who placed him in a home with small dogs/cats & it is NOT a fit, and the rescue now refuses to take him as a return. So here we are. 📣We need a foster/adopter! If you're able to foster/adopt, please visit our website to complete a foster application ASAP. Story
** Please come see me this Sunday, April 14th from 11AM - 3PM. I will be waiting for you at the Lone Star Tattoo Adoption Event (18804 Preston Road, Dallas) **Selma is a beautiful 2 year old Doberman looking for a semi active home. She is playful and energetic when she is outside with other dogs and knows it’s Netflix binge time when she is inside (hence her love for a bed or couch). She gets along with other dogs in her foster home. She lives life like we all should: play hard and worry less. She would do well with a dog 40 lbs or more because of how she plays. No cats for Selma (very cat curious and may chase but redirects well). She will need a tall fence and yard in order to continue thriving. Interested in learning more? Contact her foster mom Liz at 214-616-6128. Better yet, consider adopting her. Www.shelter2rescue.org.Her adoption fee go towards the cost of her medical costs: heart worm testing , vaccinations, and spay. Story
Meet Garbanzo! Garbanzo is a lively 10 month old pup, and we suspect he's a delightful mix of Doberman and hound. He's a social butterfly, absolutely adores playing with other dogs, and can't get enough of the great outdoors. Garbanzo is quite the active pup, always ready for an adventure. While he hasn't had the chance to mingle with cats or children much, he's mastered both house and crate training. At night, he's a perfect little sleeper in his cozy crate! To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Rocky is a sweet, playful pup who loves fetch and cuddles. He had a rough start in life due to his birth defect that left his hind legs paralyzed. Despite his difficulties, he definitely knows how to enjoy life to the fullest! He doesn’t know he is any different than his foster brothers and makes friends with everyone he meets. He loves kids, cats and dogs and never meets a stranger. His hobbies include running outside in his wheelchair and playing inside in his scooter. His care usually consists of snapping him into his mobility devices and letting him go. He wears belly bands inside since his bladder control is slightly limited due to the paralysis. Luckily, aside from this he is house trained and tells you when he needs to go potty. His temperament is very calm for a puppy, though he will experience the zoomies on occasion and burn some rubber in the yard!  He is a very happy pup and can’t wait to go to his new home! Located in Gainesville tx, contact  254-722-9667  for more info. (Text or voicemail). April 22, 2024, 11:08 pm

Story
Lando was recently returned to the rescue. It was a very difficult decision, but he is a little too careless to be around small children. All Lando wants in life is to play and to cuddle. He is very affectionate and very high energy. At mealtime, he will sit and wait for his food. Lando loves to play with balls and frisbees--he fetches and tugs. He is a little reactive with other dogs but with careful introductions he does better. Lando doesn't do well with lots of activity so he'll do better in a quiet neighborhood and a large yard or someone with lots of land. He has been working with a trainer and is becoming much better mannered. He just wants to please!

Story
Carla was adopted in October 2020 but due to Covid, the owner could no longer afford to keep her. She is very active and loves chasing balls. Carla can be protective in the house. Her ideal companion will be a submissive young male. Carla likes to be the boss. She is not crate trained and does not do well in a crate or if left alone too long. She guards her home and needs someone who understands this breed as a working and protective dog. When first meeting new people she should be approached with caution - do not crowd her. The adopter needs to let Carla approach for affection until you have gained her trust. When a dog has been moved out of a home they become wary and it takes time for them to understand the new adopter is the forever home. She will need time to adjust and trust you and she will be a lifelong best friend to you. She may not do well with younger children as they have a tendency to want to get too close to befriend a dog. Since Carla is not housed at DRNT let us know if you want to meet her so we can get her to Grand Prairie.
