This sweet boy is Arnie. He is a large boy that loves to run! He currently has about an acre to run with three buddies and he likes water. He is a very food motivated boy, so we don't recommend a home with small children. Arnie is neutered and up to date on vacs and is crate trained. An older woman contacted the Smith County, TX Shelter about her young dog. The officer who talked to her, called me to see if I could help, since the shelter cannot take owner surrenders. I had recently had some adoptions, so I told him that he caught me at a good time. He brought the young dog to me later that day, and I didn't get the dog's name from the home, so I named him Callan. I took Callan to the Gresham Veterinary Hospital on 4/13/18 to get vaccinated, he was listed as a Doberman mix, 1.5 years old, weighed 44.6 pounds, and was neutered by Dehart Veterinary Services on 4/14/18.  As of 5/10/20, he weighs 54 pounds. Callan is good with adults and children, loves to play with the other dogs, has a high pitch bark at times when he sees things like squirrels in the trees, is good on a leash, and crate trained.  He loves to be pet, and will put his head on my lap to get pet.  He requires a fenced yard, and is not an apartment dog.  He didn't like to be crated at night, but got better.  I eventually stopped putting him in a crate at night, since he does well outside at night. He was abandoned alongside three cats, and despite everything he has been through, Odin remains incredibly sweet, gentle, and kind. Understandably, he can be a little nervous, but his soft nature truly shines once he feels safe.Odin is a Doberman Pinscher mix, approximately 2 years old, and is fully vetted. He is dog friendly and, yes, Odin does not mind cats at all. We believe he would do best in a quiet, patient, and understanding home, possibly even with a cat buddy to keep him company.This beautiful boy is friendly and loving but will need someone willing to offer security, reassurance, and positive reinforcement as he continues to heal from his past. With the right home, Odin will blossom into an incredibly loyal and devoted companion.Please take a chance on Odin. He deserves a second chance at the life he was meant to have. Cosmo is a very playful and loving dog. He is just a puppy although he looks big he is only 8 months old. He knows how to sit and lay but not fully potty trained. He is a doberman although I think he is mixed with either greyhound or Shepherd because he loves to run & is very fast. He loves treats/bones, belly rubs & playing with his ball just be careful with your shoes! He likes to explore and sleep in the bed lol. I would like him to go to a good home with a lot of space for him to run. I am a single parent and we are moving soon so we unfortunately cant keep him.
