Story
Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted 6/29/18, and pictures updated 5/10/20 - Callan was surrendered on 4/11/18. An older woman contacted the Smith County, TX Shelter about her young dog. The officer who talked to her, called me to see if I could help, since the shelter cannot take owner surrenders. I had recently had some adoptions, so I told him that he caught me at a good time. He brought the young dog to me later that day, and I didn't get the dog's name from the home, so I named him Callan. I took Callan to the Gresham Veterinary Hospital on 4/13/18 to get vaccinated, he was listed as a Doberman mix, 1.5 years old, weighed 44.6 pounds, and was neutered by Dehart Veterinary Services on 4/14/18.  As of 5/10/20, he weighs 54 pounds. Callan is good with adults and children, loves to play with the other dogs, has a high pitch bark at times when he sees things like squirrels in the trees, is good on a leash, and crate trained.  He loves to be pet, and will put his head on my lap to get pet.  He requires a fenced yard, and is not an apartment dog.  He didn't like to be crated at night, but got better.  I eventually stopped putting him in a crate at night, since he does well outside at night. Callan's adoption fee is $85. Anyone interested in adopting him, please e-mail me at TMSGriffith@aol.com. November 6, 2024, 12:13 am

Meet Sopapilla – Your Sweet and Spunky Sidekick! 🐾✨ Just like her name, Sopapilla is a little bit sweet and a whole lot of fun! This affectionate girl is as snuggly as they come—if you’re sitting down, she’s likely to curl up next to you or sneak in a quick cuddle. But don’t let that soft side fool you—Sopapilla is also confident, clever, and full of playful energy! She’s a fast learner and super smart, especially when there are treats involved (and let’s be honest, she’s very food motivated). Whether it’s learning new tricks, picking up routines, or figuring out how to get you to give her just one more belly rub, Sopapilla is always thinking a few steps ahead. She loves car rides, toys, and making new friends—both human and canine. Her friendly nature makes her a joy to take on adventures, and her enthusiasm is contagious. From zoomies in the yard to quiet cuddle time on the couch, Sopapilla is the perfect balance of fun and affection. If you're looking for a smart, loving, and endlessly entertaining best friend, Sopapilla is ready to steal your heart and never give it back. 💛 DOB 1.1.25 He mom was a pharoah hound mix, dad could possibly be a great dane! Story
Meet Rocky! 🐾 This adorable 4–5-month-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix has already proven he’s one tough (and sweet!) little guy. Rocky was found starving at a construction site with his sister, who has since been adopted. Now safe and thriving in his foster home, he’s learning how wonderful life can be when you’re loved and cared for. Rocky is a happy, well-behaved, and social puppy who loves to play in water, tug-of-war with ropes, and a good game of keep-away with his foster friends. He gets along great with other dogs and loves being part of the fun! He’s working hard on potty training, sleeps well through the night, and is very eager to please. You can tell Rocky knows he was saved — he’s grateful, affectionate, and full of love to give. His gentle nature and playful spirit make him a perfect fit for families, active adopters, or anyone looking for a loyal adventure buddy. Rocky is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog and would thrive in a home where he can get plenty of love, playtime, and snuggles. 🐕 Rocky’s ready to roll right into your heart and home — come meet him today! ❤️ High energy. Foster to adopt is a great way to see if Rocky is the perfect fit for your family. Adoption fee covers neuter and all age appropriate vaccines.
