Story
Eileen was found wandering stray around the shelter. She is a sweet dog who loves human companionship. She does not like cats, we have established that here. She is mostly housebroken, although she still has accidents. She tries very hard not to. She is crate trained. She has had all her vaccines and been dewormed, her next stop will be getting spayed and microchipped and she will be able to go. She will not be a huge dog, but we figure between 40 - 60 pounds.

*Winnie is very playful, good natured and full of cuteness. Winnie needs older children at this age due to her energy. She ain't nothing but a hound dog needing a great place to play. Winnie was found scared and shivering on the side of the road. Winnie had the good fortune of a passerby saving her and bringing her to PetsFurPeople to receive medical care, love and affection. Winnie is extremely friendly and loves to cuddle. She does become jealous when attention given to other animals of her human.*To make an appointment to meet Cassie, please complete your application at this link: https://PetsFurPeople.org/pre-application/ Follow it up with a phone call. Story
Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted on 12/31/23, and the pictures were taken on 12/30/23.  Paxton was found dumped in Alto, TX around the first part of December 2023, and surrendered to us on 12/11/23.  The owner was found, and the sheriff got involved.  He had dumped other dogs as well. Paxton is very sweet with people, will follow a person around without a leash, and does ok on a leash, but he needs more work on a leash.  He is good with other dogs both male and female, and has not tried to dig under or climb over the 4 foot fence he is in.  House training and cats are unknown.  His breed is unsure, but his coat color and body shape could resemble a Catahoula Mix.  Treeing Walker Hounds have longer ears than he has, which the saddle color on his body resembles that breed some.  Paxton was estimated to have been born in June 2022, he was neutered on 12/22/23, and is current on vaccinations. $25 adoption fee, since a donation was made to help with his veterinary care.April 24, 2024, 12:21 am
