Story
Approximate DOB: 9/11/2025 Approximate Weight: abt 20 lbs -dog friendly -kid friendly -cat friendly with proper intro -good natured -playful -intelligent Meet Red Sangria, our delightful foster dog seeking her forever home! Sangria is gentle and respects our corgi’s space, even when not in the mood to play. She loves playing with our three-legged Shepard until they’re both happily exhausted or content just hanging out. She’s also a great cuddle bug, eager to curl up next to you or nap on your lap. Once she warms up, she’ll always want to be around you! After a couple hours of stimulation, she’ll be ready to relax. If you have a friendly cat, patience and a slow introduction might be the key, as her lively nature may overwhelm feline friends that aren’t puppy friendly. Sangria is trainable and adaptable. She knows how to sit, no longer jumps on our couch, and respects our toddler’s space after gentle redirection. Once settled, Sangria is incredibly sweet and would make a wonderful companion for someone ready to guide her through puppy behaviors. While she’s still learning crate training and may be a bit noisy at first, she’ll settle down once she gets her opinion out! Sangria’s loving nature and eagerness to please make her a perfect addition to any family willing to offer her patience and love. If you’re looking for a very loyal and affectionate friend, Sangria is waiting for you! As a puppy, I am required to go to training within 90 days of my adoption with a certified trainer. ********************************************************************* Schedule a meet-and-greet by completing our Adoption Survey on the Adopt page of our website at https://www.olddominionhumanesociety.org/adoption-survey.
