Story
Kane is a purebred, European Doberman from an outstanding breeder in Powhatan, VA (Ostertag Kennel), with all AKC papers readily available. His birthday is 08/15/2023 and from his profile pictures, you can see his ears are un-cropped, tali docked at birth, and he is still in tact. I have nothing but the most wonderful things to say about Kane and his personality; he is the most social, lovable, goofball I have ever experienced. He loves to cuddle, chew his toys on your lap, and watch your every move. He is usually the life of the party of any event we attend, and has come to expect cuddles and pets from everyone he encounters. However, he will need an experienced handler to combat some energetic and behavioral issues. He does not like physical corrections (grabbing of his hips or skin behind neck to move him out of place) and unfortunately has had a handful of occasions where's he's snipped or growled as a result (one recorded bite incident). He also loves to jump on people.

Quinn is a 11 month old, 30 lb spayed female originally rescued in Puerto Rico as a very young pup. She is current on vaccines, crate trained, and has experience living with other dogs and cats in a home. This sweet girl absolutely loves other dogs and gains confidence from having canine companions around her. She gets excited to meet dogs, loves to play, and would likely do best in a home with another confident dog to help show her the ropes. She has also lived with cats and playfully tries to engage them. Quinn enjoys being with her people and appreciating their company.  She can get startled by loud noises and fast movements so a home with older kids would be best. New people approaching her can be overwhelming for her, and she will need a patient adopter willing to give her time, structure, and positive experiences to continue building trust. She already knows commands including sit, come, and up, she walks on leash, and she enjoys exercise and enrichment. She would thrive with someone experienced, patient, and committed to continuing her training and confidence-building. Quinn is a smart, loyal, playful young dog who simply needs the right environment to blossom. This adorable little girl and her siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. They were very sick initially but are very healthy now. Blair is a gentle little girl, but does love to run and play with other dogs. She has done amazing with her house and crate training. She is so deserving of a wonderful home to call her own. She is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC.
