Betty is a petite 1-2 year old black & rust female with plenty of puppy energy and the best natural ears! Before coming to DAR&E, she already had a litter of puppies, all while being a puppy herself. She is in a foster home and is ready to start her new life! Betty would do best in an active household. She requires a lot of exercise, physical and mental. This is due to her young age, and simply being a Doberman. She needs structure as she is still learning manners. Betty is a quick learner and eager to please. She has a very sweet demeanor, but has a lot of energy she sometimes doesn’t know what to do with! She currently lives with 2 cats and 1 female dog in her foster home. She does great with the dog, but has a hard time containing her excitement around the cats. She is not recommended to be around cats, just for the cats sake, because she does not respect boundaries just yet! She loves to play with other dogs and should do great with some dog siblings. Betty has shown to be friendly and trusting with women. When it comes to meeting men, Betty needs a little extra patience and grace. She prefers to take meetings at her own pace and can feel overwhelmed if a male approaches her too quickly. She can thrive in a home with men (her foster home includes a male human), provided her people understand that trust is something that is built step by step. Give her the time to approach you on her own terms, and she will reward you with devotion and fun. She is working on basic commands and is loving her new start at life! Betty is fostered in Virginia. Meet Lucy - Lucy is a sweet, affectionate girl who believes there is no such thing as too much love or too many cuddles! She absolutely lovessss attention and is happiest when she can be near her people. She’s used to having someone home with her for most of the day, and she would love a family who can give her plenty of companionship, affection, and time to feel right at home. Lucy is a black and tan, female Doberman, weighing approximately 60 pounds. She has natural ears and a tail. She has done well meeting dogs and cats. Lucy has been through quite an adventure! She suffered bilateral calcaneal tears in both legs and underwent surgery to repair them. Thanks to lots of love, care, and patience, she is now almost fully recovered and making wonderful progress. She can enjoy short walks in her braces and currently wears them whenever she is up on her feet and moving around. She has worked so hard on her recovery, and it has been so exciting to see more and more of her playful personality shine through! Although Lucy appreciates a good midday nap (don't we all?), she's also discovering her playful side again. As she continues to heal, her zoomies have been making more and more appearances! She has the perfect balance of snuggly couch companion and playful best friend. Lucy would thrive in a calmer home where she can enjoy a predictable routine, lots of love, and a family who understands her ongoing needs. Older children who have experience with dogs, would likely be the best fit for her, along with a securely fenced yard where she can enjoy some outdoor time safely. Her ideal family will understand the importance of keeping her braces on whenever she's up and walking, follow her recovery guidance, and give her the patience and support she needs to continue thriving. The hardest part of Lucy's journey is behind her. Now, she just needs a family who will love her for exactly who she is: a resilient, loving girl with so much affection to give. Meet Cooper - Hi, my name is Cooper! I am a big beautiful exactly 2-year-old neutered European male dobie. I am a beautiful black and tan boy with cropped ears and a docked tail. I am a big boy at 100 lbs but sweet and silly. I have a lot of that fun puppy energy everyone loves in male dobies. I love making new friends, both human and dog, and I am great at adapting to new environments and situations. I am an active guy, good on a leash, house-broken, and very responsive to commands. I like kids but I don’t know my own size, so I tend to step on them or bump into them. I am looking for a new owner who will give me a stable home environment and lots of space for me to be my big, happy self. Though I am a good listener, my new owner will need to be able to handle all 100 lbs. of me because I love bumbling around and jumping on laps. I get along great with other dogs and have loved living with my foster sister but have never met a cat. That said I will likely get along with other animals as long as my owner shows me everything is ok. I love attention and time outside. I am smart, learn very quickly, and have a strong desire to please so I am really looking forward to obedience classes. I love my crate and can stay home alone for up to four/five hours but any longer and I will need someone to come give me some time out and a walk. My foster family would greatly prefer I have a big fenced yard so I can easily get my big boy energy out. Cooper2 is fostered in Maryland. What you feel from Knox when you meet him is hope and an energy that he wants to learn and grow in to a phenomenal Doberman. Born on Christmas Day of 2025 this sweet puppy had all the hope in the world of a great life ahead. Somehow the stable future got sidetracked and he was not treated well in his first adoptive home. What happened next was a kind young couple heard of his plight and need for a new place and eagerly took him home without doing all the homework on the needs of a smart Doberman. They could not give him the big fenced yard and the time that a Doberman of his caliber needs. They have tried to be what he needs but they realize he needs so much more. With love they are asking Critter Cavalry Rescue to help them find his forever home soon but with much scrutiny. This 70 pound boy at just 10 months must not be placed in hands that are not capable and knowledgeable of the breed. Professor Knox is a sweet soul that has no aggression or fear. He is still so innocent in his time to learn and a sponge to be shaped and molded in to greatness. Professor Knox is a boy that needs more time out and about in the world so that he can be a great Ambassador for his breed. He loves cats and has his 'own' cat in this second home that he is in now. He needs a dog to play with . The current dogs in his home are old and over the excitement of youth. Knox deserves a youthful playmate. He is housebroken, crate trained and knows how to manage a doggie door. Professor is a lover and not a fighter but if someone he does not know comes to the house and he greets them, he will stand between the visitor and his owner. Natural Doberman character. He is truly not leash savvy at all. He will need a new owner to train him on that and perhaps a harness will work best. He is not a chewer but he will gather things from around the house and put in his dog bed. This boy has the nature of a protector and a lover. A smart dog that is the best of his breed. He is still young and learning and we want a Doberman savvy family to adopt him and polish his nature talents to the fullest shine!!!!
