Story
Meet Lola! **57 lbs** We’ve made Lola a Dandy Dog, meaning her adoption fee has been reduced to help her find the perfect home!Lola is the definition of “go, go, go!” She absolutely lives for fetch and could happily chase a ball, stick, or favorite toy for hours. She’s looking for an active home that can match her enthusiasm for life and provide plenty of exercise, enrichment, and adventure. A fenced backyard would be a huge bonus for this energetic girl! While Lola loves to stay busy, she’s also a total cuddle bug once she’s bonded with her person. She loves curling up to sleep beside you, snuggling with body pillows, and handing out the sweetest hugs. She thrives on routine and is happiest when she knows what to expect.Lola can be unsure around new people, especially men, and may seem reactive at first, particularly if someone surprises her. She needs a patient adopter who will give her the time and space to build trust at her own pace. Once she feels safe, though, she blossoms into a goofy, affectionate companion whose playful personality is impossible not to love.Lola has had both positive and more nervous interactions with other dogs, so she can be selective. She’d prefer being the centre of attention in her new home. Any introductions to other dogs should be done thoughtfully. She’s still working on her manners and would benefit from continued positive reinforcement and consistent training. With structure, patience, and a committed adopter, Lola has all the ingredients to become an incredible best friend.Because Lola is uncomfortable around children, she is looking for an adult-only home with no kids.If you’re an experienced adopter looking for a fun, active dog who will keep you moving by day and snuggle up with you by night, Lola could be the perfect addition to your family.Lola is looking for:* Adult-only home (no children)* Dog-savvy adopter* Patient home willing to build trust* High-energy lifestyle* Dog introductions managed carefully (dog selective/reactive)
