Story
Meet Captain! Captain is a handsome, expressive pup with a big heart and an even bigger desire to bond with “his people.” Once he trusts you, he’s loyal, cuddly, and full of goofy charm.Captain is still working on his leash manners and house training, but he’s smart, eager to learn, and already making steady progress. He’ll thrive with someone patient and consistent who can continue guiding him.He can be nervous around new people, so he’ll need a family willing to go slow, give him space, and let him build confidence at his own pace. Once comfortable, he’s incredibly affectionate.Captain is mostly good with other dogs and enjoys canine friends, but he can be a bit territorial at times. He would do best with respectful dog companions and a human who can help reinforce healthy boundaries.Captain would love a calm, structured home where he can feel safe. A patient adopter with experience or willingness to train will help him blossom into the wonderful companion he’s meant to be.If you’re looking for a loyal friend with tons of potential, Captain may be your perfect match! Fill out an application to meet this sweet boy and help him start the next chapter of his journey

Story
Meet Lady! She is a beautiful German Shepherd with a big personality and an even bigger drive to work. She’s a very high-energy girl who thrives on structure, routine, and having a job to do. Lady is already familiar with training tools like a place board and enjoys learning and engaging with her handler. While she hasn’t been walked regularly due to her strength, with the right handler and continued training, walks could become one of her favorite daily activities. Because of her strength and energy, Lady would do best with an experienced adopter who can provide consistent exercise, leadership, and enrichment.Lady has some sensitivity around her neck so she will need a home that is mindful of this sensitivity Due to limited socialization, Lady may bark at strangers at first. However, once she has a chance to smell you and realize you’re a friend, she quickly shows her sweet and affectionate side. She has limited experience with other dogs, cats, and children, so a home willing to introduce new situations slowly and thoughtfully would be ideal.

Story
Meet Cooper!*56.5 lbsCooper is a nearly 8-year-old with a big smile, a bigger heart, and plenty of pep left in his step. While he’s technically a “senior,” Cooper didn’t get the memo—he’s still a happy-go-lucky guy who loves to move, explore, and soak up all the love he can get. He’s fully housetrained, a total people-pleaser, and truly lives for affection and positive attention. Cooper wants nothing more than to be someone’s loyal sidekick. He previously lived with other dogs, but he can be dog-selective, so a calm canine companion (or being your one-and-only) may be the best fit for him.Cooper would do best in a home with older, respectful children, as he appreciates gentle interactions and clear boundaries rather than the unpredictability of young kids.**One important thing to know about Cooper: he is very sensitive about his ears. Before coming into our care, he suffered from a severe, long-lasting, painful ear infection. He is currently still receiving treatment and is improving, but he will need an adopter who understands this sensitivity and can continue to be gentle, patient, and attentive with his care.Cooper is a sweet, soulful boy who has so much love left to give. If you’re looking for a devoted companion with a joyful spirit and you’re willing to meet him where he is, Cooper just might be your perfect match.
