Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.February 2026:  Valentina is ready for her forever home.  This beautiful girl is housebroken and so healthy.  But more than that, Valentina has the sweetest soul.  She is gentle, loving, and truly just wants to be close to her people.  Valentina is a 2 year old spayed female weighing about 43 pounds.  She is a very friendly and active girl.  She has a strong prey drive so not recommended for a home with small animals or cats.  She loves to run and jump so a secure fence is recommended.  At the Shelter, the dogs get 2 walks per day.  Valentina never soils her room in-between these walks.  Valentina has so much love to give.  She's not just looking for a house - she's waiting for someone to finally choose her and let her be part of a family.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 19, 2026, 2:07 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.February 2026:  June is a 1-year old bundle of joy  She is active and loves to run and play, but at the same time she has such a sweet soft vibe about her.  She's friendly, easy-going and just a really cool girl to be around.  She is spayed and loves to cuddle and play.  She weighs 45 lbs.  She needs exercise and loves other dogs to play.  June is okay with cats with proper introduction.  June would love an active household and is good with children.  June has lived at a Shelter, for about 9 months now and is very ready for her forever home.  She is at that perfect age - young, fun and ready to grow up in a loving home.  At the Shelter, she is fed and walked twice a day and allowed to play in an enclosure.  She is not quite housebroken with only 2 walks per day.  However, with proper "potty" breaks or back yard access, we feel she would be housebroken in no time.  She is a smart girl and wants to please.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 25, 2026, 1:26 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.February 2026:  Mary Jane is a 10-year old very sweet senior who would love a quiet home with a nice soft dog bed.  She finds joy in simple things - slow walks, soft breezes, and stopping to smell the world around her.  She is the kind of dog who would quietly fill a home with warmth and love.  Mary Jane doesn't need much - just a safe place, gentle companionship, and someone to walk beside her through her golden years.  She is ready to leave Shelter life.  Mary Jane weighs 50 pounds, and she is both dog and cat friendly.  She prefers to maintain a distance from cats because she is a little afraid of them.  Mary Jane is a curious senior and she loves treats.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 16, 2026, 2:52 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.February 2026: Polly is happy tail wagging girl who is ready for her forever home.  She is about 8 years old and weighs 25 pounds.   She is a sweetheart with a playful spirit and a loving heart.  She's more active than most senior dogs and absolutely loves people.   Polly has gone from skittish to playful and continues to feel more confident every day. She loves to explore and always does it with an excited skip to her step. Chasing lizards is also a great pastime. Walks are very enjoyable as she is very easy and ready to walk with people. She likes pets behind her ear and on her belly. Polly has a lot of love to give to someone willing to have patience and give her the chance to give it. She is a pretty, intelligent, and sweet dog. She would be okay with other dogs with after a proper introduction. Polly has spent many years in the Shelter waiting for her chance. Now it's her turn to experience life in a real home. Polly is cared for at the Shelter, sharing a room with her sister Cassandra. All the Shelter dogs get a walk and are fed both in the morning and the afternoon. Because of her limited walks, she is not quite housebroken. However, we believe that with more daily walks or access to a backyard, she would be quickly housebroken. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.February 2026:  Snickers is a 3-year old active, playful and strong boy.  He walks beautifully on a leash and loves the beach.  (See his video.)  He gets along well with other dogs and had helped new dogs feel safe and comfortable when he was at the Shelter.   He loves to snuggle and is crate trained.  He is gentle with people and when taking treats.  He learns quickly.  Snickers was shown at the Safe A Friend Luquillo Farmers Market booth recently and he was a really good boy on his outing.  He was fine with other dogs, with people and families with children walking by.  He paid no attention to the chickens and roosters in the park.  However, we do not recommend a home with cats unless you are willing to train him not to chase.  We also do not recommend a household with children under 10 years old.  Snickers is neutered and weighs in at 45 lbs.  He is housebroken and never soiled his room at the Shelter even with only 2 walks a day.   Snickers is out of the Shelter now and living with a Foster in PR.  He's full of joy and ready to bring love and energy to his forever home.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 25, 2026, 1:26 pm
