Story
Howdy there, my name is Willie! You may have heard some of story if you read about my brother Nelson, but I am special enough for you to hear it again. My brother and I were dumped by our previous owners. We were abandoned at the end of the road when a kind family found us. They brought us home in late June 2023 and got us back healthy. Since our family left us alone for so long we were severely underweight and covered in fleas and mange when the nice family found us. My brother and I were named after the one and only Willie Nelson, so were pretty much superstars around here, but we dont let the fame get to our heads too much. When we first got to Summits we were extremely attached, because my brother and I are two peas in a pod. For a long time he was the only one who had my back, but now I have a ton of friends, some fur and some human! I am a little scared and shy at first, but I love to be around people, and if you scratch my ears we will be friends for life! I am as handsome and sweet as they come, but I am a dog who takes a little longer to warm up than others, but I promise I will and I am so worth the wait! I may not be tiny but I sure like to think I am a lap dog. I love hugs and cuddles and my friends at Summits say I give the best in the world! Some people think pit bulls are scary, but Im just a big lover and I cant wait to see how my life unfolds. I am vaccinated, neutered, on flea/tick prevention, and fully house broken. I cant wait to spend all our days and nights cuddled up on the couch. Will you give me a chance? I promise Ill love you FUR-EVER! Story
Howdy, Im Nelson! My brother Willie and I were dumped by our previous owners. We were abandoned at the end of the road where a nice family found us. They brought us home in late June 2023 and got us back to great health! We were severely underweight and covered in fleas and mange when they found us. If you havent caught on yet we were named after the one and only Willie Nelson, so were pretty much famous! When we first got to Summits we were extremely attached, because my brother has always been there for me even when it was just us against the world, but now I love to play with all of my other fur-friends! I am vaccinated, neutered, on flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention. Guess what? I am also housebroken so can I sleep inside with you? I love to go on adventures and, not to brag, Im pretty good at walking on a leash. My friends at Summits call me their goofy love-bug, because although I am active, I love to lay back, and give you all the cuddles and kisses.     Adoption fee $200 (chipped, fixed, updated on shots) Please visit our website www.summitssanctuary.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Story
This lovely lady is Katrin! She arrived at the shelter alongside her sister/bestie, Annika, on 3/12. They were lost, but no one has shown up to reclaim them. Both girls are now in search of a new, forever home where they will be loved and kept safe so that they never end up back in the shelter. They're shy, but sweet. You can tell they want to be able to trust. If you can offer them patience and kindness we're sure they'll gain confidence in no time! Both girls walk nicely on leash. If you have a soft spot for the shy kids, please come meet them! Katrin is approximately 2 years old and weighs 58 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines and tested negative for heartworms. She will be spayed and microchipped upon adoption. Katrin is waiting patiently in run 16; her ID # is 8702. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER.
