Nova is a Dogo Argentine, born 02/04/2024.  She currently weighs 9.5 lbs.  Nova is currently settling into her foster home so we will be providing more information soon. The suggested adoption fee for Nova is $415.  Bullies-N-Beyond is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Adoption donation fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. All dogs adopted through BNBR will have been administered their age appropriate vaccines which may include DHPP, Rabies, Lepto and Bordetella. All dogs will also be adopted out as already altered if of age, for those not of age, a voucher will be provided. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. BNBR does not adopt on a first serve basis. Story
Velma is a sweet and cuddly Boxer mix (likely some kind of pitbull), that will be two years old this summer. She is always ready to go wherever her people are going and likes to stay near by. She loves running around in the backyard chasing any animals and starring out the window to see what's going on. Velma has no problems staying in a kennel and is house trained (though she might still have an occasional accident in the house once in a while). She has been great with my 11yo son and his friends. But she and my other dog have been becoming more aggressive towards each other, and she should be in a home without other dogs. Velma has been a great companion, friendly with people, and I'm hoping to find her a good home. The adoption fee is basically for her leash, toys, kennel, bowl, etc. and would be able to go lower on the price if that is not needed. Please reach out if you have any questions or would like to meet Velma.

Story
Duncan is a 4 year old, male, Boxer mix. He came to us after being rescued from a house fire where he lost his family (owner and two other dog siblings). He stayed loyal to his owner during the fire and was rescued laying next to his owner. He is a very very sweet boy. Unlike a typical boxer he is a mellow personality. When he gets excited he likes to talk and batt his arm at you and he loves to chase tennis balls. He seems to like to find small spaces like corners to feel safe. We expect this is because he was raised in a smaller home. -Duncan would do best in a home with another dog for companionship or with a retired person who will include him in lots of stuff and give him lots of love. He seeks out cuddles! -He does great with our 4 kids, 3 other dogs, and our bird. We have not had him around any cats. - Fenced yard he can run around in and lounge in. -He has had 2 ACL surgeries a few years ago. He came to us over weight but is now at a healthy weight.

Story
How good, good dogs like Sasha end up on the street we will never understand. Sasha was found as a stray and never reclaimed. Lucky for us, because we get to find her her forever home! We estimate Sasha is 4 years old and she appears to be a boxer mix. At 55 lbs, she's a great size. She is obedient, loves everyone, and is an overall good girl. During the day, Sasha accompanies her foster mom at work where she is happy to lounge and hang out. At night, she sleeps in her little doggy bed. Sasha does not like her kennel and she would love to find a home where she can work with you from home or join you at the office. She is the biggest snuggle bug and anyone will be lucky to add her to their family!  House trained: Yes - can be left out without accidentsLeash trained: Yes - walks great on a leashKennel trained: Hates the kennel - has been left alone for 2-3 hours at a time and does wellRides well in a car: Yes Good with other dogs: Yes - would love other dog companions Good with cats: Yes - fostered with cats Good with young children (under 10): Not fostered with kids but we think she'd do well Shy or confident: Confident Barks: No Apartment qualified: Yes Health concerns or special needs: None We believe Sasha is a Boxer mix and was born around 2-28-2020. She is fostered in a private home in Lincoln. The adoption fee is $300 which helps cover the cost of vetting procedures. Adoptable pets will have received age-appropriate vaccines and dewormings, a microchip, heartworm test (if applicable) and a spay/neuter. This procedure is scheduled through Brave by the age of 6 months and the cost is covered through the adoption fee.
