Story
Meet Perdita (aka Perdi, Dita, Baby DeeDee). She doesn’t actually know her name, so she’s flexible 😂 Perdi has an amazing temperament. She’s been to numerous public outings around small kids and plenty of other dogs, she does great. We are thinking no cats for her! She’s a little too interested in small animals. She’s a total couch potato. But she’s also got a playful side and enjoys walks. She’s that perfect mix of chill and fun. She’s cuddly when she wants to be but also fine doing her own thing. She’ll snuggle up on the couch, or wander off to nap in another room. And she’s fantastic in a crate! She loves car rides and adventures. Could use some leash work but honestly most dogs can. She’ll play with toys here and there but isn’t really a destroyer. Perdi is just such an easygoing, lovable girl, and whoever ends up with her is seriously lucky. 💛

Story
🐾 Meet Frank — Philly’s Most Wanted Frank spent several months navigating the streets of Philadelphia, dodging traps, chasing trash trucks for his daily meals, and cooling off by hopping through kiddie pools during a summer heatwave. He became a neighborhood legend with a fan club watching Ring cameras, tracking his route, and working around the clock to get him to safety. At last, hunger (and a stroke of good luck) led Frank to step into a trap set by Goodboy Dog Recovery. He immediately went to the vets, and it was revealed he had a 5-week-old tibia fracture, explaining the slight limp he carried from life on the run. He quickly recovered and you would have never known he had a leg injury. Through it all, Frank never lost his happy spirit or his trust in people. 💙 Frank Today Frank is a true survivor and one of the sweetest boys you’ll ever meet. He follows his foster everywhere looking for love, does a joyful little dance when you walk through the door, and absolutely lives for cuddles. 🐶 Dog-Friendly & Playful Frank currently lives with several foster siblings, both male and female, and gets along wonderfully with all of them. He’s respectful, easygoing, and knows how to read the room. He never overwhelms other dogs, but once given the green light, he’ll happily play all day long. 🏡 Frank’s Ideal Home Frank thrives with canine companionship and would love a home with another friendly, playful dog who matches his energy and helps him feel secure. He’s looking for a family who appreciates a loving shadow, enjoys silly antics, and wants a dog who will be your best friend in everything you do. Story
Margaret is a sweet new face at the shelter who came to us as a stray and is still figuring out that she’s safe. We estimate she’s around 3 years old, and one look into her beautiful, soulful eyes will tell you there’s something really special about her. Right now, Margaret is on the shy side, but she’s slowly starting to warm up and show glimpses of the loving dog she wants to be. With a gentle approach, patience, and kindness, she blossoms a little more each day. She’s the kind of girl who will form a deep bond with her person once she feels secure. Margaret is looking for a calm, understanding home that will let her move at her own pace and celebrate the small victories along the way. If you believe the best relationships are built on trust and time, Margaret just might be your perfect match! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neutering-heartworm testingAdoption fee: $135.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2025 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older.
