Dennis the menace was a pretty cute kid. Therefore I am cute too! I am an adult, with puppy-like exuberance for life and food! I arrived at the rescue with my wife (Dee Dee) and our kid (Donna) after being left in our backyard when our "family" moved. Can you imagine? I gave them 3 years of devotion, and they just leave me like an old newspaper..... So, enough about my sorted past, let's look at my BRIGHT FUTURE!!! I am a handsome guy, full of love for life. I love female dogs, male dogs are more challenging because I am an alpha sort of dog, with the females I am fine- even dominant females like my Dee Dee. I am a good 60lbs, I'm such a big boy who makes for great cuddles! I am a good protector of your home and my people. I won't let those pesky neighbors over, unless you invite them ;) I have lots of fun running and playing and I would be a great outdoor adventure buddy! Let's get on the trails and go! Dennis can only be adopted in the local area. Local adoption fee is $200.

Story
Gypsy is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. Gypsy came from a bad home. She was not being fed and was severely underweight. So the people surrendered Gypsy and her puppies to animal control to avoid animal cruelty charges. We had Gypsy DNA tested and the results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited and we now know that comes from the Boxer in her. Gypsy is around 4 years of age and weighs 70 pounds (she only weighed 35 pounds when we got her). Gypsy is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog I have ever seen. Gypsy is fairly active. Gypsy loves to run and play with her toys and she especially loves squeaky toys. Gypsy loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot. She gets excited about squirrels and cats on the other side of the fence. Gypsy does well with all dogs but gets along best with male dogs. She is normally good around small dogs but will occasionally mistake one for a toy when she gets over-excited. So she is not recommended for homes with small dogs. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with children. She can sit and comes when called, She is crate-trained, house-trained, and otherwise very well-behaved in the house. She could perhaps use a bit more obedience training with someone that is firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is very sweet. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy walks well on a leash and rides well in the car. She must be in the house as a loved member of the family and would like a large yard with a 6' fence to run and play. Gypsy is healthy. She is spayed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. We used the slow-kill method (we are happy to explain this) and she is now negative for heartworms and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gypsy's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to the Pittsburgh area. She is being fostered in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. I've been dreaming for a family of my very own and someone told me that if I tell Santa what I want for Christmas this year he tries very hard to grand wishes. Oh my, oh my, I'm so excited, Santa grants wishes!! My wish is to have a family for not only this Christmas but also for many more Christmases to come. My name is Phoebe and I'm about 5 years old and a what a fabulous age. I'm well out of that puppy destructive stage but still playful and ready for any and all adventures you might want to throw my way and I'm hoping it's lots and lots. I'm still very playful and will need some daily exercise and playtime and what better way then to get out there and explore! I come in at 54lbs, again a fabulous size for all those adventures but not too big that I take up the whole couch. I made sure that there will always be room for you on the couch so we can get our snuggles in. I love my cuddles and belly rubs and ear scratches and well you get it, any kind of people contact! Hank here, as in the famous Hank Williams but all my friends just call me Hank. I'm ready to trade in 'All My Rowdy Friends' for a nice more laid back kind of life, getting lots of pets, belly rubs, ear scratches and treats!! We're gonna have to make lots of 'Family Traditions' that hopefully has to do with me getting some of those treats and belly rubs! Here at my new foster home, I’m Hank, the ranch dog. I don't really live on a ranch, but I love to run and explore all new smells as if I am on a huge Texas ranch. When my foster mom says the word “ride” I jump in the truck lickety split. Going for a ride is one of my favorite things. The ladies (4 legged) are drawn to my fabulous looks with my short brindle coat which is easy for washing and wearing. My white feet and chest match my groomed beard, I am so handsome! I only sit still when it’s time to snuggle. I love to curl up right next to you and get as close to you as possible. And oh, how I love belly rubs!!!! I weigh about 50 pounds and at around 6 years I can still run as fast as a bullet. 'A Country Boy Can Survive' and this ole boy hasn't let life get me down. I was found at a local shelter thinking I was gonna be doing 10 to life, but the judge was lenient and I'm out on parole for good behavior (and I really am a good boy!). The parole requirement is findin' myself a loving family so I'm hoping YOU can help me with this part! Does I sound like a good fit for your family, golly I sure hope so?!
