*Meet Margaret, a beautiful mixed breed with a heart as big as her journey. Margaret was found abandoned at our front gate in a crate on a freezing 30-degree night. Despite everything she’s been through, she has shown us nothing but sweetness and quiet resilience. We believe Margaret may be deaf, but that doesn’t slow her down one bit. She is incredibly attentive, gentle, and eager to connect. Deaf dogs adapt wonderfully with visual cues and routine, and Margaret is already showing how smart and observant she is. Margaret is also heartworm positive, and we have started her on the slow-kill treatment process. She will need a committed adopter who can continue her care and provide her with the love and stability she deserves. She is looking for a patient, compassionate home that will see past her challenges and recognize the loyal, loving companion she truly is. After being left behind in the cold, Margaret is more than ready to know what warmth, safety, and family feel like.
