Story
*Meet Margaret, a beautiful mixed breed with a heart as big as her journey. Margaret was found abandoned at our front gate in a crate on a freezing 30-degree night. Despite everything she’s been through, she has shown us nothing but sweetness and quiet resilience. We believe Margaret may be deaf, but that doesn’t slow her down one bit. She is incredibly attentive, gentle, and eager to connect. Deaf dogs adapt wonderfully with visual cues and routine, and Margaret is already showing how smart and observant she is. Margaret is also heartworm positive, and we have started her on the slow-kill treatment process. She will need a committed adopter who can continue her care and provide her with the love and stability she deserves. She is looking for a patient, compassionate home that will see past her challenges and recognize the loyal, loving companion she truly is. After being left behind in the cold, Margaret is more than ready to know what warmth, safety, and family feel like. If you believe in second chances, Margaret is waiting for you. *To make an appointment to meet Margaret, please complete your application at this link: https://PetsFurPeople.org/pre-application/ Follow it up with a phone call. Lady Luck had a rough life before she found us. She is an older girl that would be happy to live as an only dog. She is sweet and laid back and would make a great companion for slow walks and snuggling on the couch.

Story
Callie was pulled from an East Texas shelter the day she was to be euthanized. Ater two minutes in her new foster home, it seems like she has always been there....she fit right in, a total team player, easy going, calm, patient. She demonstrates no annoying puppy behaviors, she is so grounded and just so happy that she is loved. She does not jump up on people so sh's a great candidate for families with younger children. She will play bark when romping around with her dog friends but everyone should be entitled to cut loose of energy, and all dogs usually have the same behavior. We are working on leash training, she does well in a harness, no collar, she doesn't pull but will stop walking when she's done. She is totally house broken and NEVER has destroyed or chewed up anything in the house. She is a true joy! and a perfect candidate for a first time dog owner!

Story
Meet Soto!A Resilient Soul Ready for His Second Chance! Soto is a Pit Boxer mix with a big heart and a brave spirit. He came to us under tough circumstances—tied up at our front gate after his previous family could no longer care for him. Despite everything, Soto is holding onto hope for a new beginning with someone who will give him the love and patience he deserves. Soto can be wary of new people at first, but once he learns to trust you, his playful and affectionate side shines. He’s a total goofball when it comes to water, toys, and treats—those are definitely the way to his heart! Because of his cautious nature, Soto would do best in a calm, adult-only home (no kids under 16) and as the only pet. He thrives with structure, gentle guidance, and people who understand that good things take time. Soto is ready for someone who sees him not for his past, but for the amazing companion he can become. If you`re looking for a loyal friend to grow with, Soto is waiting to meet you.To make an appointment to meet Soto, please complete your application at this link: https://PetsFurPeople.org/pre-application/ Follow it up with a phone call.
