Age:5-1/2 Weight: 145 Location: Hagerstown, MD Nicknames: Tiggy Tiggy Tiger, Bubba Good with other dogs?: Yes. Tiger was an owner surrender from a family that had other small dogs. So far in his foster home, he hasn't met any other dogs as he's the only dog currently there. He did see other dogs at the dog store and was not reactive or cared at all about them. Good with cats? unknown, will not be adopted to a home with a cat Good with children? OK for kids over: 10 (due to his size, but he is very gentle) Activity Preference: Needs in-house activities, Low maintenance overall but needs quality outside time., Will go with the flow, Champion couch potato, "Energy, do you mean like walking to my food bowl?" IQ: Has some shining moments Tiger's favorite things: Tiger loves car rides, tennis balls, and most toys (soft, chewy, hard) and sometimes a walk (he only likes walks in the morning when it's dark and not when there is wind) Tiger is good at: meeting people, staying in a crate, behaving in the house, going for car rides, making me feel safe, walking on a leash, following commands Ideal home: someone at home most of the day, a fenced yard Training Needs: Health issues: None Meet Tiger Tiger is a perfect gentleman! He is a wonderful dog in all aspects! He does not have any bad habits, just likes his toys, his bed and being a big couch potato. Tiger just goes with the flow and loves to watch his humans and look out the window at the neighborhood. He loves to come along with you on any car ride and just requests his head out the window. He lived with other dogs and kids previously. He doesn't seem too crazy about the neighborhood cats, but the squirrels don't bother him. He will make a perfect addition to your home!   PLEASE READ: Adopters will not be considered without completing an application. Please visit www.AmericanBulldogRescue.org to apply! Remember - Adoption is always the best option! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application HEADLINER: Meet Kado: The Giant Teddy Bear with a Quirky Twist! A loving, attention-seeking pup ready to steal your heart! HISTORY: Abandoned or homeless. PERSONALITY: Kado is a bundle of joy with a myriad of endearing qualities that make him the perfect companion. His loving and sweet nature shines through in every interaction, making him a cherished member of the family. He thrives on attention and adores being close to older children and adults, always eager to share in their activities.  FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: Kado is a delightful dog whose favorite activities paint a picture of pure joy and contentment. He thrives on the simple pleasures of life, such as indulging in his favorite meals—though he is quite the messy eater, he always cleans up after himself. Savoring the warmth of belly rubs makes him melt with happiness. When he’s not napping peacefully, Kado loves to explore the back yard, reveling in the freedom of open space. Adding a playful twist to his routine, a good game of tug with his favorite toy never fails to bring out his spirited side. MEDICAL ISSUES: None known of. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME: Kado will thrive in a loving home with a single adult who can give him plenty of attention and care, or with a couple and their older children or teenager(s) who can engage him in playful activities and provide structured environment. While Kado’s friendly nature shines brightly, a household without cats or small children would be ideal to ensure a peaceful and harmonious living situation. If you’re considering adding Kado with other pets, a female dog might be better option over a male dog, but its always best to introduce them carefully and gradually to ensure compatibility. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application HEADLINER:   SELENE (Bonded With GIA) ~ An Instant Family!! HISTORY:  Selene is a beautiful 3 yr old Dogue De Bordeaux that came to us underweight, with marks/patches of hair loss. Since then, she has gained adequate weight, been spayed, is up to date on vaccinations, is microchipped and is now searching for the perfect forever home. PERSONALITY: Selene is a very sweet, loving, silly and incredibly smart girl. Selene is a follower.  She is deeply bonded with her littermate, Gia, therefore will only be adopted out as a pair, to reside together in the same household. Selene becomes very worried when her sister, Gia, is out of her sight — so worried, that she will softly and pitifully cry until she is reunited with Gia. Selene shows no food aggression. They lived with other dogs at their previous home, but have been the only pets at their foster home, so their behavior/reactions with other animals is unknown. They do react by barking, in unison, to alert you, as unfamiliar people enter the home, but they settle quickly. They are perfectly crate trained. Their leash walking skills continue to improve. They continue to improve with their house training and proper house manners. They have made progress, but they need an understanding and supportive family, that is ready and willing to help them achieve complete success with their training. FAVORITE ACTIVITIES:  Selene is quite energetic and loves nothing more than stretching her legs, running around playing with Gia in a spacious yard. Her second favorite thing to do is SLEEP, right next to her sister - like yin and yang.  It is truly amazing, how well this pair of sisters get along, every moment of every day. They LOVE each other, and their humans. MEDICAL ISSUES:  None known WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME:  Selene and Gia, the Dynamic Duo, would best suit an active family looking for a very special pair of outgoing, friendly, devoted companions.  Adopters should have breed knowledge and experience. Due to their size and strength, they’re not suitable for a household with small children.   ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:  If you think you’ve got the perfect family home for Selene and Gia, and are ready for DOUBLE the fun, love and KISSES, then we’d love to find out more about you.  Please fill out our adoption questionnaire and we’ll be in touch soon.
