Story
We are heartbroken to rehome our cat, Lilah. She has been a loving part of our family since we took in her stray mother years ago. Now 9 years old, she is sweet, gentle, and has always been a clean, indoor cat. Recently, we brought in my mother-in-law’s 13-year-old cat. While Lilah tried to adjust, she has become very anxious, hides often, and has stopped using the litter box. The vet confirmed she is healthy, so this appears to be stress-related. We’ve tried separating them and other solutions, but nothing has worked. With two young children, we’re concerned about her well-being and continued stress. Lilah has never bitten or scratched anyone and is great with kids. Our older cat cannot be rehomed due to medical needs. Lilah deserves a calm, loving home where she can feel safe and happy again.

Story
LOOKING FOR MY ANGEL:  Approx. 5 years old  / Approx. 11.5 lbs. Hi, my name is Sharna!  I was adopted from Mostly Mutts a few years ago as part of the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ themed litter.  Unfortunately, things did not work out, and I am back with Mostly Mutts and looking for a new, loving home.  Luckily, I am in a great foster home with a foster mom who understands my need for space and time to decompress and feel safe and comfortable.  I’ve made great progress and like to spend time with my foster mom and the teenager in my home.  Once I know you are my friend, I like to follow you around as you do chores, rub against your leg, or sit next to you on a comfy chair.  At night, I sleep on the big beanbag chair in the teen’s room. • OTHER CATS/DOGS/KIDS:  I got along with the other foster kitty (neutered male) in my foster home before his adoption.  I tolerate the male cat in my foster home, but I do not like the two female cats.  It would probably be best for my adjustment in my new home to be your only kitty.  However, if you do have another MALE cat, I would just need a slow introduction to him and my own space at first to feel safe and secure in your home.  No female kitties, please. / Though my previous owner said I did okay with some dogs, my foster feels that the presence of a dog in their home may be keeping me anxious.  Best no dogs in my new home. / I’ve become receptive to the calm teen in my foster home spending time with me and petting me, but – since I am startled by loud noises and commotion, I should not live with younger children. • PERSONALITY INFORMATION:  My foster describes me as ‘a beautiful, affectionate cat’ who just needs a person willing to give me the time and space I need to feel safe.  When I first arrived in my foster home, I hid under the bed for many days, but I now say hello every time anyone comes in the room where I am.  In fact, I love to be petted and to rub against a friendly, calm person who enjoys spending time with me.  I like sitting on the cat tree in my room where I can look out the window at the birds in the trees.  I don’t hiss or bite, and I love to nudge you with my nose for extra pets once I get to know you. • SKILLS/LITTER TRAINED STATUS:  I had only one accident outside the litter box shortly after I arrived.  Otherwise,  I have kept my area clean in my foster home.    • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I DO like people once I know them.  I’ve become more and more comfortable with my foster mom and her teenage children – the more time they spend with me.  As my playful side slowly emerges, I’ve shown some interest in the feather wand.  I’ve grown confident enough to sit and watch the world outside from a window – progress! / I would not be happy if I were rushed to interact in an unfamiliar environment.  Please give me time and space to get to know you.  I promise that if we take things slowly, I will feel safe to be very affectionate and loving.  Otherwise, I am sure I would not be happy if I did not get the love and attention all kitties deserve! • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, combo tested negative and spayed.  I am on an anti-anxiety medication (a transdermal that just goes on the inside of my ear once a day).  I accept it well and really does help me. I am looking for a quiet, calm family that will give me the time to settle into my new home – the kitty love I provide will be worth the wait!  My adoption fee is $175.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.March 8, 2026, 7:16 am

Story
“F” THEMED KITTEN:  Approx. 3 months old / Approx. 3 lbs. & growing Hello – I’m Fitz!  My friend Fifi and I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control.  We immediately went to a great foster home, where we have been growing and thriving while getting a preview of what it is like to be cared for in a loving home.  Now, I am ready to find my very own home and have moved to the Kitty Aquarium at the shelter.  Plan to meet me soon! • OTHER CATS/DOGS/KIDS:   I get along great with my friend Fifi, who came with me from animal control.  My foster mom keeps me separate from the kitty that lives there, but I saw them from a distance and was unfazed – so I may enjoy another kitty in my new home. / Likewise, I was unfazed by the dog in my foster home, though I only saw him from a distance.  It will likely depend on the dog, but if you have kitty-friendly doggie at home, we can probably be pals. / Children in my new home may be nice, since I am a playful kitten.  Best they are gentle and know how to handle a kitten, and – of course, let’s meet! • PERSONALITY INFORMATION:  Both my friend Fifi and I are super sweet, playful and cute – showing off quite nicely for our photo shoots!  I am more of a cuddler and am content to spend a good bit of time soaking up all the snuggles.  Sweet and fun,  I am sure to steal your heart! • SKILLS/LITTER TRAINED STATUS:  I keep my area clean, as I am litter trained. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  Of the two of us, I am the champion cuddler.  I’m a true lap kitty and will share lots of snuggle time with you.  I also love to play with kitty toys – especially mice and jingly balls.  A race through the cat tunnel is super fun, especially when my friend Fifi comes along.  Equal parts loving and fun, I enjoy splitting my time between the cuddles and the shenanigans! / I can’t think of any dislikes since I am a kitten, but I would not be happy if I did not get the love and attention on which I thrive! • MEDICAL:  I’ve started my kitten shots and you will need to continue those as I grow.  I am microchipped and neutered. I am looking for a wonderful family to give me a loving home for life! My adoption fee is $175.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.April 14, 2026, 6:46 am

Story
Looking for one of the sweetest girls to walk the earth? Lukia may be your gal! She loves attention, will melt into your arms when you pick her up (yes, she does like to be picked up!), will gladly come to you for pets, doesn't seem to have a care in the world, and has acted neutral around other cats, meaning she'd probably do well in a multi-cat household! We also have a feeling she would do well with small kids, but of course, we ask all human family members come meet her to be sure. We do not know how she'd do with dogs.If interested in meeting this sweetheart, please stop by the shelter and drop her name! Thank you! Primary Color: Tortoiseshell Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 7.09 Age: 1yrs 6mths 1wks

Story
Mylo is a beautiful, energetic, and affectionate girl looking for a loving, patient home. She has a playful personality and loves attention once she feels safe and comfortable. She can be a little shy at first in new environments, so she’ll do best with someone who is patient and willing to give her time to warm up. Once she trusts you, she’s incredibly sweet and becomes a very loving companion. I have a demanding schedule and am often away from home, and Mylo deserves more time and attention than I’m able to give her right now. I’m hoping to find her a home with someone who is around more often and can give her the consistency, care, and love she deserves. This is not an easy decision for me—Mylo is very special to me, and I just want to make sure she goes to the right person and a safe, caring home. She may do best with: • Someone experienced with cats or familiar with shy/slow-to-warm-up personalities • A quieter environment (not too chaotic or loud)
