Story
shy, sweet long-haired boy who needs socializationHenry is a beautiful, shy, sweet and playful cat who has a bonded brother. He lived in a home but did not get much socialization up until a few months ago. He loves pets and to be brushed by several of the volunteers. He is more skittish around other volunteers. Henry would need to be adopted with his bonded brother who looks similar to him. He would do best in a quiet home with an experienced. patient pet parent. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 23, 2024, 3:04 pm

Not good with dogs,
Story
DOB: approx. 3/25/2021My name is Penny and I lived outside for a while, I'm very nervous but I love to be pet, especially the head scratches and once I get used to people I'm a very good girl. It will take me a little while to adjust to a new home, I've been through a lot, but I really do like people and will be an amazing family member as soon as I know I am safe. I would do better in a quiet home with older children and no dogs. I'm not sure about how I feel about other cats yet.*If you are interested in adopting or meeting any of our cats/kittens please fill out an application at our website:www.allfurone.org.*We do not adopt out of state.*Kittens (and some adult cats) do best when they have a friend. We strongly recommend adopting in pairs if adopting a kitten.*While we do not require kittens over 6 months old to be adopted in pairs, we do prioritize applications looking to adopt 2 or with another young cat at home. Before going home all of our cats/kittens have been:*Spayed/neutered*Received age appropriate vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper)*Microchipped*Flea/Tick/Heartworm Preventative*FeLV/FIV tested*Dewormed

Story
Meet Brenda, a stunning little lady looking for her forever home. With fur as soft as a rabbit’s and a pink button nose, Brenda is a sweet soul waiting for the right person to shower her with treats, sunny napping spots, and booty scritches. You may notice Brenda’s cautious and shy demeanor at first, but beneath that initial reserve lies a heart full of warmth, affection, and a steady flow of purrs. She has even proven herself to be a skilled hunter with wand toys! Within a few months, Brenda has transformed from a cat terrified of human hands into a relaxed, confident girl who politely asks for pets with head bonks - a journey that has been incredibly rewarding to witness. Our floofy doll will thrive in a home with someone who understands her and can provide a calm, peaceful atmosphere to help her feel safe and secure. When given patience and time, Brenda returns the favor by showing what an adorable, cuddly, quirky cat she is - with an expressive tail and squeaky meows to match. She is ready to live the rest of her life as someone’s beloved family member. Is it you?Brenda would do best in home with no children and a family experienced in helping shy/scared cats grow their confidence. While she does well on her own, Brena would get along with other animals that match her calm and mellow demeanor. Brenda is FIV/FeLV negative, up to date with vaccinations, flea-treated, dewormed, microchipped, and spayed. Her birthday is estimated to be around 7/20/2020. ##1784907##

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Blake is a 1.5-year-old Domestic Long-Hair, weighing 11 lbs (most of which is his gorgeously soft white and ginger coat). He spends most of his time sleeping, but wakes up and comes over for scratches when you call him. He seems to live for these interactions. He'll ignore toys and find the hand that throws them instead because he just loves love. His ideal day would involve breakfast, scratches, a nap, some scratches and a brush, another nap, then some more scratches, and then dinner. He has the loudest purr and loves making biscuits, especially when lying on your clothes - and he loves human company, and makes biscuits while purring when he gets to hang out with you. He simply can't get enough. Blake is completely litter box trained, and he's great with people, even strangers. In short, he'll be friends with anyone who can give him a good stroke. When he's left alone he curls up in his corner to sleep. He explores a bit at night, but he's very polite and quiet about it. Blake has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus which means he can't hang out with other cats who don't have the virus. He also has one cauliflower ear and a patch of fur missing from the side of his neck, but neither of these seems to bother him. Blake loves head scratches, chin scratches, neck scratches, body scratches, and tummy scratches, especially when he's being brushed, too. He likes wet food (but eats dry, too), and also likes to sit on a chair at the table when people are sitting around it so that he feels involved. He'll come over when you call him in case it means cuddles, and rubs himself against the furniture, meowing to tell you he wants a pet. If you're looking for a low-energy ball of fluff, then this guy might be your perfect match! Blake is currently being fostered in the East Village, Manhattan NY. The adoption fee for adult cats is $100. All of our cats come spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, combo tested, microchipped, up to date on flea and tick preventative, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the pet you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
