Story
Meet Garbanzo Bean! Garbanzo Bean is a gorgeous long-haired gray and white tuxedo boy with striking gold eyes. Rescued by us in the summer of 2020, this affectionate bottle-baby was adopted at just three months old. Unfortunately, his previous family couldn’t provide the love and care he deserves, so he was returned to us a few months ago, around his 4th birthday. Garbanzo is a calm and gentle cat who is truly looking for a loving home. He gets along well with dogs and would be a wonderful companion in a quiet household with a small to medium-sized dog, or even as an only pet! However, he has some litter box habits that need attention. After being confined to small spaces and using a cramped litter box, Garbanzo developed the habit of pooping just outside the box on a pee pad. While he still uses the litter box for peeing, pooping outside the box has become an ingrained behavior and will require patience and consistent training to help him break the habit. Although we’re unsure of Garbanzo's past experiences, he is still decompressing and learning to trust again. He enjoys lying on the bed next to his person and being gently stroked on his back. With time and care, Garbanzo’s loving nature will shine through. He may even start playing fetch with you! Garbanzo is a bit nervous around other cats and would do best as the only feline in a household. He needs a patient, understanding adopter who is committed to helping him re-learn proper litter box habits. A non-carpeted area or a catio would be ideal for him to adjust and break his current habits. Garbanzo is up-to-date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and negative for FIV/FeLV. He has been fully vetted and has no underlying health issues. He is searching for a quiet, loving home where he can feel safe and thrive. If you think you could be the special person to offer Garbanzo the love and patience he deserves, please apply today!

Story
Meet Magnus! Magnus is a handsome, long-haired boy with flowing blue-gray fur and a thick silvery undercoat — (think Clooney, but fluffier). He has the look of a Maine Coon or Nebelung mix, and at just 5 months old, this big boy already weighs in at a whopping 7 pounds! Magnus is a gentle giant, but he didn’t start that way. When this cutie arrived, he was fearful and hesitant to be touched — he’d take his beloved Churu treats only if offered on a stick, from a distance. But after several weeks of patient love and socialization, Magnus has blossomed into the BEST . BOY . EVER! These days, just the sight of a Churu packet, the jiggle of a food bowl, or the snap of a can lid will bring Magnus trotting to your side. He follows you from room to room, weaving in and out of your legs, lovingly nudging you. He’ll even flop over to show his belly — his way of saying, "I trust you." He’s a total love-bug with the softest heart. Magnus never scratches or hisses — he just purrs like a perfectly tuned engine. He’s even shown interest in the resident dog, always calm and curious. At night, he climbs into bed, slowly inching his way up from your feet to your side — and just imagine how cozy that thick, warm fur will feel on a cold winter night. Magnus absolutely loves to be brushed, which is great because, with his dense coat and matting potential, regular grooming is a must. His forever person will need to keep up with brushing a few times a week, but don’t worry — he loves being pampered. Magnus must be adopted with one of his littermates, or into a home with another friendly young cat — he will thrive with a feline companion. He will do fine in a home with a calm, cat-friendly dog. Magnus is FIV/FeLV negative, dewormed, neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He’s come such a long way already, and he’s only going to get better from here. If you’re looking for a big, loving, loyal companion with a heart of gold (and a coat to match), Magnus just might be your perfect match.

Story
Meet Bjorn—our gentle, food-loving tuxedo boy! Bjorn and his siblings were found abandoned in a box on the side of a road. These babies were only about 8 weeks old when we rescued them. Bjorn is a striking long-haired tuxedo with silky black fur, a fluffy white chest, and a soft silver undercoat. He has the build—and the fluff—of a Maine Coon or Norwegian Forest Cat mix, with big golden eyes that always seem to be observing quietly from the sidelines. When he first arrived, Bjorn was timid and cautious. You could tell he wanted affection, but he wasn’t quite sure how to ask for it. Then he discovered Churus, and then everything changed. Bjorn is extremely food-motivated, and once he realized that snacks came with gentle pets and kind voices, he started showing up more and more. Now, although still a little shy, he's never far away—and never one to miss out on treats. He loves the company of other kittens and finds a lot of comfort in feline companionship. You’ll often catch him curled up next to another cat or quietly following them around the house. Bjorn loves to play, especially with feather toys, ball towers, and anything with a bell. He has a habit of carrying little catnip mice around like trophies. He’s not loud or wild—just quietly playful and curious in his own sweet way. He’s still getting used to being picked up, but when you do scoop him into your arms, he relaxes completely and settles in for snuggles. And when he feels safe? He purrs like a little motorboat. Bjorn will do best in a home with another friendly, confident cat to help him feel secure. He truly thrives with feline friends and must go to a home with at least one other cat. He is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, up to date on vaccines, and FIV/FeLV negative. Bjorn may not be the first kitten to run up and climb into your lap—but once he trusts you, he’s all in. He’s sweet, soulful, and very much worth the wait. ?

Story
Meet Astrid! Astrid is a stunning long-haired gray beauty with delicate splashes of dilute tortoiseshell throughout her silky coat. Her square chin and thick silvery undercoat give her the look of a Maine Coon or Nebelung mix — and with those gorgeous golden eyes and one extra toe that's always ready to signal a “thumbs up,” she’s truly one of a kind. This gentle girl is quiet and reserved, but melts into affection when given the chance. Astrid loves to snuggle close, give kisses, and roll onto her back in your arms to soak up every bit of attention. She purrs and softly “razzes” to let you know she’s content — and once you’ve earned her trust, she’s a total love-bug. Astrid enjoys the quieter things in life: a cozy nap near a sunny window, being doted on, and a Churu treat offered with a kind voice. She adores her feather wand toys, ball towers, and scratching post — and since pampering is her love language, she loves having her fur brushed and even tolerates a quick manicure. While Astrid would do well with respectful children, she’d prefer a calm, peaceful home with fewer distractions. She’s never shown a hint of aggression — no scratching, no growling, no hissing. Just a soft, affectionate soul who wants to love and be loved in return. A total mush! Astrid must be adopted with one of her littermates, or into a home with another friendly young cat — she blossoms when she has a feline friend by her side. Astrid is FIV/FeLV negative, dewormed, spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. She is good with cats and gentle, calm, cat-friendly dogs. All this lovely girl needs now is a home as calm and kind as she is. If Astrid sounds like your perfect match, she’s waiting for you with open paws.

Frankie (F), Ashley (F), Cory (M),& Richie (M) (as well as their mother) were rescued by an animal lover when they showed up in her yard. Ashley, Cory and Richie have been adopted. Now it's Frankie's turn. What a gorgeous gal! Frankie is a bit shy during the day time but super affectionate in the evening. She loves her treats and toys and other kitty friends. She will tap you with her paw to get you to pet her and she's very vocal when it's feeding time or attention time. The siblings were born on 5/16/23, are up to date with vaccines, FIV/FELV negative, spayed and microchipped. They can be seen in their foster home by appointment or on the days she is at Petco Bricktown Way or PetSmart Forest Ave for adoption events.
