Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please note that we can not guarantee the age, expected weight or breed of any animal. What we provide is our best estimates based on our experience and the information provided by the our medical partners. If breed and eventual size are of great importance we suggest looking into a breed specific rescue or adopting a full grown animal. Unless otherwise noted, ALL animals are fostered and available for adoption on Long Island, NY.  SPECIAL NEEDS KITTEN Meet Little Girl This sweet kitten had an extremely rough start and any other shelter or rescue would have lost hope. But not the local one she came to and not us! Little Girl is a special case, she came into the shelter with a head tilt and mild neurological abnormalities that effected her gait (walk). She was treated for presumptive toxoplasmosis. She has gone through all her courses of antibiotics and has shown improvement and no regression. She also has locating patella's of both hind knees which also causes gait abnormalities sometimes. This does not stop our girl from being playful spunky and full of love. She is the sweetest girl with a hard history and she has shown she is brave and strong. This girl may develop arthritis sooner than most cats and could require a specific food to help in supplementing what she will need to keep her bones strong, but as for now she gets to live her life just as is and is hoping for her forever family that accepts her for who she is.    This baby is spayed/neutered, UTD on vaccinations, is FIV and FeLV/Feline Leukemia Negative, and ready to find a soft spot to land and enjoy a family!   we are a foster based organization located on Long Island, NY. We do out of state adoptions within a reasonable distance. Please visit LCARescue.org for an application or more information!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 20, 2025, 4:01 pm

Maple and Gem came to us in October, Gem had her last litter while in foster care and Maple brought her babies to us. These girls are shy at first but enjoy love and pets. They just need patience and time to adjust, just like any other cat. They both love to play and are ready to fly their nests and be free from their kids and find a home to call their own.    This baby is spayed/neutered, UTD on vaccinations, is FIV and FeLV/Feline Leukemia Negative, and ready to find a soft spot to land and enjoy a family!   we are a foster based organization located on Long Island, NY. Story
Floof and her siblings were found underneath a deck of a local home, born to a stray mommy cat. Luckily they were found by an animal lover, who called all over in search of help. Our rescue couldn't say no, and they are a lovely litter of super friendly kittens. They are in an active foster home with children and other cats, and they get along with all. They are super loving, will lay with you and run to you, and are also very playful. If you're interested, inquire today. We adopt to all of New York and the New England area, and can provide with partial transportation if needed.
