Story
Kodak is a senior girl and unsocialized around people. She came to us underweight due to painful dental issues. We got her into the vet for a core dental and she lost quite a few teeth. She eats two meals of wet food a day minimum now and doing much better. Kodak needs out of the shelter and into a home where she can be comfortable and feel loved. She may never be very social, but we hope someone will open their heart to an older gal that just wants distant love and companionship

Story
Meet handsome Mr. B! Mr. B’s owner was recently transferred to assisted living and he needs a new family to love him. If Mr. B had a dating profile it would go like this: I sometimes cry for my blanket. I have to tell you I am not an ordinary cat. My emotional intelligence is very mid 40ish and I’ll often stare in your eyes while you tell me all about climate change. Whoever gets me is gonna have to learn to handle a 7 year old lad who knows what he wants. I love to do what I want, but also need your validation. Enjoys long sits at the window and is looking for something serious. Mr. B is FIV positive which refers to a cat that has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, a retrovirus that weakens a cat's immune system, similar to HIV in humans. Many FIV positive cats live long, healthy lives with proper care and veterinary monitoring. Disclaimer: FIV+ cats are generally not recommended to live with FIV- cats, as this condition is contagious to other cats through bite wounds. Casual, non-aggressive contact, such as sharing water bowls or mutual grooming, does not appear to be an efficient route of spreading the virus, so cats in households with stable social structures where housemates do not fight are at little risk of acquiring FIV infections. THIS IS A COURTESY POST. Misfit Mountain is not in possession of this animal. If you're interested in fostering or adopting Mr. B, contact Sandra Hayes directly at SandraHayes42@mac.com.

Story
Meet Polar, the Perfect Furry Companion! Hi there, I'm Polar, an adorable 1-year-old female cat looking for my forever home. I may be small, weighing only 10.06 lbs, but I have a big heart and lots of love to give. My beautiful domestic longhair coat is soft and fluffy, making me the perfect cuddle buddy. I may be a chill couch potato most of the time, but I also have a playful side and I love chasing toys around. My favorite thing to do, though, is to snuggle up on your lap and soak up all the love and affection you have to give. I'm a constant companion and will always be by your side, making me the best friend anyone could ask for. I'm a well-mannered lady who is litterbox trained and loves treats. My sweet and gentle nature makes me a great fit for families of all ages. I'm also an intelligent and sociable cat, always ready to make new friends and explore new places. I may be young, but I promise to be a loyal and loving companion for many years to come. So what do you say? Come meet me and see for yourself why I'm the perfect addition to your family. I can't wait to meet you and start our forever journey together. Love, Polar.
