Meet Templeton — a mildly-mannered, sweet kitty who melts hearts with his calm personality . He may be a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly to gentle affection and attention . Templeton gets along wonderfully with other cats and would do best in a home with calm dogs or no dogs at all . He’s looking for a peaceful, loving home where he can relax, play, and snuggle with his forever family . Ollie & Otis (siblings) were placed at the shelter at 5 weeks old. I fostered them until they could be neutered and placed for adoption. I fell in love with them and adopted them myself!! After a few months, I began to have serious issues with allergies, asthma flare-ups, and increased issues due to Dry Eye Syndrome. It breaks my heart to rehome them. I dearly love them and they are so bonded to me. They need to be adopted together because they are incredibly bonded to each other. They are always together, or near each other. (Otis is a short hair) I would hate to remove them from me and their sibling. They are healthy, sweet, funny and very playful. They play together constantly, but I have so much fun playing with them, too. Their favorite games include the laser light and Cat Dancer. Ollie jumps as high as a light switch!! They love chasing treats and it makes me laugh when they slide on the floor trying to stop. All their toys, litter box, litter, food & dishes go with them.

September 2, 2025   See Orange Roughy’s new photo perching in a cat tree. It has now been over 3 years since these gorgeous cats, Orange Roughy and his brother Guppy (posted separately) were rescued. They were just kittens when I trapped & saved them from a seafood production plant that was closing down. The kittens had been traumatized, starved & constantly dodging massive tractor trailer trucks & equipment. They were pitiful & barely alive when I finally caught them. These 2 brothers have come through a tremendous journey. They are both now healthy & kind, but still very very cautious especially around someone new. We have worked hard to help them gain confidence and feel safe, but no one will adopt them or give them a chance. Most adopters are looking for a “purrfect” cat that will make themselves happy. I'm looking for that selfless adopter that wants to save a life or two because that is what paying it forward & rescue work is all about. These two beautiful sweet boys need time & love. If you think you have patience & a big heart for the not-so-purrfect cats, give me a call! As soon as you meet these precious souls, your heart will tell you what to do. I feel so sorry for these cats after so many rescues have come & gone and they still wait for a chance of a home. FURR took in FOUR KITTENS trapped in the woods in Rocky Point, NC!  A really wonderful Samaritan followed my exact instructions and trapped 4 little kittens and their mama.  This family was starving and homeless! FURR took in the kittens after a couple of weeks and the lady that rescued them kept the mama kitty. These 4 kittens are now healthy and happy!  ADORABLE, GREAT PURR MOTORS & VERY PLAYFUL!!! Berlioz was born on April 19, 2023. He has had one round of vaccines and rabies but is due for another. He is healthy, playful, and loves to cuddle. He comes with his kennel, bed, bowls, toys, Pawby robotic litter box, and some cat towers.

This precious girl was rescued in December 2024. She was fending for herself while suffering with a broken leg. It was heartbreaking seeing her hobbling around outside and all alone. We have given her a birthday of April 20, 2024. We immediately took her to the vet. The vet’s recommendation was to wait and see if her leg could be saved….thank goodness… her leg has been saved. Her foot was bent and couldn’t be straightened out. The treatment plan was to remove the nails in the foot since they were growing into her pad and causing her pain. We do not condone declawing! Since the nails were not accessible and trimming was impossible; this only treatment plan was approved. Happy to say she is mending so well. She is walking and playing. Spayed, vaccinated, litter box trained and NOW ready for adoption. Prior to adoption, we require an application to be submitted.
