Story
A cat I have been fostering for the past couple months. He’s not aggressive towards humans. Although he doesn’t seem to get along very well with my other cats. It may be because he used to be an only cat in his old home. He’s overweight so he doesn’t fit in an average sized litter box and can’t cover his poop. He can’t groom himself properly because he’s too big to reach those areas. As a result from that he’s developed some very matted hair around his anus and it appears to have been getting worse over time. I was unaware that he had these problems when I agreed to foster him and over the past few months I’ve realized I don’t have resources to deal with his issues properly. I tried to take him to the shelter but the people at the shelter told me if I left him there they would put him down. I wasn’t comfortable with that because I genuinely believe he can be adopted by the right people who will care for him. He’s not a bad cat he just needs the right conditions to thrive.

Story
Persia is a beautiful long haired, green eyed girl born in the spring of 2017. Persia will greet you at the door and rub her head against you in delight letting you know how happy she is to see you. She is a lap cat given the opportunity but is also content to lay near you or watch the birds while lounging in her cat tree. Persia loves to roll in catnip and snuggle with her little pink hippo. She had a bit of a tough start to life. She was found as a tiny kitten, dumped at a workplace, covered in maggots. Her finders got her good vet care and she recovered fully and kept her till recently. After getting a small dog, Persia's original owners decided she would do better in a new home. Persia is in a foster home with other cats and dogs. With slow introductions she is fine with dogs. She tolerates other cats but would likely be happiest as an only cat. Persia is such a sweet girl. She deserves a home where her personality can blossom and she can love and be loved fully.

Story
I’m seeking help placing my special-needs cat, Lula. Lula has chronic megacolon that is well-managed on daily medication (1 mL lactulose and 0.5 mL cisapride oil). She is happy, affectionate, active, and eats and interacts normally. Her veterinarian can provide records confirming her stable condition and good quality of life. The primary challenge is chronic urinary incontinence. Despite consistent medical management and environmental modifications, Lula cannot reliably use the litter box and frequently urinates around the home. Cleaning and maintaining hygiene has become unmanageable for us, and we are struggling to provide the environment she requires. We are seeking a rescue, sanctuary, or foster that is experienced with incontinent cats or cats requiring specialized elimination setups. Lula is not in pain or decline — this is a placement for a cat who still enjoys life and deserves a home better equipped to meet her care needs.

Story
I was rescued from behind a local restaurant while I was pregnant and taken into a loving foster home. I had my babies there and they have all been adopted into their furrever homes. I am learning how to trust humans as I was always an outside, stray cat. My foster family is being very patient with me and letting me go at my own pace. I hope to be ready for adoption. I am ~ 1yr old, have been spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. If you're looking to help a retired Mama Kitty settle into an inside home and can give her the time and patience for her to earn your trust, please complete an adoption application on Maya at hsdavie.org/cats

Story
Nebula came to us from a local shelter.  She was an owner surrender and covered in mats. We took her to our foster that was able to get her groomed and shaved down to a lion cut. Her fur is growing out and she is looking spectacular!! Nebula is very sweet and loves to play with her toys and get lovings from her foster parents.    ##2550594##
