Story
Oliver is a sweet, gentle, kind, distinguished, even-keeled old soul who enjoys the simple things in life: a can of wet food, head scratches, a heated blanket, a Churu meat tube (or two or three) and your company. At this point in his life, comfort is his priority. He’s not the playful, go getter, up to no good type of cat - he’s much too old and wise for young shenanigans. Instead, he prefers to be snuggled up, taking the world’s longest cat nap, while you reside nearby. He’s a big guy and will take up most of the room on the bed, if you let him (and he really hopes you do). There is no curling up all cute or loafing about for Oliver; instead he sprawls and stretches out as much as possible. When he’s up and at ‘em, he will follow you around and be right beside you, but doesn’t feel the need to sit on your lap or be held. He may politely chit chat about his feelings in a soft, raspy, squeaky way. Oliver is very affectionate and curious and purrs as soon as you approach him, but is also very content all by himself. He has a Mr. Rogers energy about him, with his gentle, kind eyes, will be friends with anyone and everyone, and is very patient and non-confrontational. He would fit in well to almost any household, whether that be with cats, dogs, or considerate children. With his age, he may ask for little extra patience in return to make the best of his golden years. P.S. Though Oliver won’t keep you up at night getting into things he’s not supposed to, zooming around, or begging for food, he does snore sometimes. It’s incredibly cute and only a tad obnoxious. You’ve been warned!

Story
Remi (2-3 years old) Remi is a beautiful long-haired black cat with green eyes and a shy demeanor. She has been scared at the shelter, and she needs plenty of places to hide and feel comfortable. She often comes out from under a bench to say a shy hello when things are quiet. She accepts gentle pets and adores being brushed, but any sudden movement or loud noise will send her looking for her hiding place. She prefers all four tiny feet firmly on the ground, as being picked up scares her. Remi would do best with an understanding and patient person who appreciates her beauty, but is content to let her get used to a new environment at her own pace. In a calm and peaceful home, and with plenty of TLC, she’ll be a gentle, sweet, and devoted friend who loves her people, enjoys playing, and has many cozy beds and caves to choose from. So far, she shows a preference for beds and hiding places down low on the floor.  OK with Dogs  : Unknown, but loud, sudden movements scare her, so very quiet dogs or no dogs at all might be best OK with Cats  : Yes, but she needs a gentle cat-friendly companion. She's easily intimidated by dominant and territorial cats. OK with Kids : Over 10, gentle and considerate kids ***Adoption pending  February 8, 2026, 9:29 am
