Story
Venus is an adult, spayed female cat, probably born around 2018.  She's a big girl at over 13.5 pounds, and was quite matted when she arrived, so we had to shave her and she's sporting a sleek lion cut.  Her fur is very soft and buttery, so she grows out she will need help with grooming or she will need to be "styled" a few times a year.  Venus is friendly but dignified.  She loves a comfy bed where she can stretch out and roll around.  She loves human attention and is happy to wait her turn until people have time to get to her.  Other cats are ok, but she's been very content with her own company and doesn't seem in any hurry to find a bestie.  Venus could be pretty happy in almost any situation, so if you like the glamour girls, please come meet her.March 16, 2024, 1:14 pm

Story
Naomi is an adult, spayed female cat, probably born in 2022. She's quiet and gentle and keeps to herself in her colony room.  She doesn't hide, so she's not scared, just very self-contained.  She was spayed prior to arrival, so she was likely an owned cat or kitten at some point.  She was very matted when she arrived at the pound, so they shaved her - right now, she's very velvety and soft, but eventually she will grow and glamorous muted tortioseshell coat and be a stunning beauty.  March 16, 2024, 1:14 pm

Story
Roger is a neutered male cat, probably born in fall 2022.  He is a total babe...or a total baby, depending on how you view things.  Roger lives to be held and hugged.  If you are within arms-length of him, he will try to climb on you.  He loves to wrap his paws around your neck and be scooped up.  He is pretty light weight so you can easily carry him with one arm under his back legs, while her courteously counter-balances his weight on your neck.  And he can hang on tightly, even if you bend over, so don't worry about dropping him.  He's a great work out buddy, adding an extra 10 pounds to your daily strength training routine and he will chirp and whisper encouragement in your ear.  He's a little timid around larger cats and those with big personalities, but he seems to do well with other even tempered males.  Please come meet Roger.  He needs a hug. Update: Roger is staying with a foster mom for a bit because the shelter was too stimulating for him and he needs one-on-one time to feel better.March 16, 2024, 1:14 pm

Story
Cynthia is a young adult, spayed female cat probably born early 2022.  Her coat was very matted, so she is sporting a lovely velvety lion-cut.  She acts shy at first meeting, but once she knows people aren't going to hurt her, she goes into cuddle-overdrive.  All she wants to do is be as close as possible (inside clothes is almost good enough), and she loves to rub her face on clothes, skin, anything.  She's so loving it's almost killing her.  Cynthia will be happiest in a very affectionate family that likes little velcro kitties and constant snuggles.  A baby bjorn would be a great present for Cynthia.March 16, 2024, 1:14 pm

Story
I'm Agate. I'm definitely quiet and shy. It will take me a bit to warm up, but as soon as I do, I think we'll be best friends! He would really love to be adopted with his best friend Slate. They are both shy kitties and being together helps boost their confidence. They love to snuggle and watch tv, treats, especially squeeze up tuna treats, being brushed, and all the cat toys.
