Currently at our off site adoption center in the Petco in Chillicothe on Bridge street. Just visit the store if you are interested in adopting. They can do the entire adoption right there and you can take them home that day. I recommend calling the store at 740-779-0709 before making the trip as our kitties get adopted quicklyThese are abandoned street animals or unplanned litters, some of older age, and many with a shy temperament. Their prior history is sometimes unknown. We make every effort to check the basic health and personality of each animal.CAT:Every adoptable cat is currently vaccinated (FVRCPP), vaccinated for rabies (if 16 weeks or older), spayed/neutered, treated for worms, treated for fleas, micro-chipped and started on ear mite treatment (if required).DOG:Each adoptable dog/puppy is currently vaccinated (DHPP), vaccinated for rabies (if older than 16 weeks), treated for worms, treated for fleas, spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm (if over 6 months of age), micro-chipped and started on ear mite treatment (if required).Upon adoption you will be given a health record to take to your veterinarian. Adoption fees are typically $90.00 for kittens, $50 for cats and $300 for dogs/puppies unless otherwise stated. We accept cash or debit/ credit card only! These fees are subject to fluctuation, if deemed necessary, depending on season, amount of adoptable animals in our program, and/or breed of animal. The adoption fees help us recover a small portion of the money that we spend on these animals. Thank you so much for your interest in a shelter pet!!!

Story
The Notorious C.H.I.P. Her name is synonymous with fluffy terror around these parts. She has her own t-shirt: `Chip Happens.`Chip is our office cat - not because she`s good with people, dear reader - DEFINITELY NOT. But because she`s *worse* with cats. We would rather she terrorize our unsuspecting visitors in our lobby, than the poor cats in our adoption areas whom we`re supposed to safely shelter.Chip is ill-tempered. Mercurial. Bitey. We do not recommend putting her with small children. BUT, Chip also drools when she`s happy. She likes to cuddle her favorite person. She sits on your keyboard to let you know she wants attention; and likes to share spicy foods with you. She`s respectful enough to (almost always) swat you with her claws retracted *before* she`s forced to bite you. She is a legend. And she could be yours. If you dare.

Story
SheebaFemale - Long-haired Grey tabby - DOB: 9/16/17Hi, I`m Sheeba! I`m a gorgeous girl with a soft, long-haired grey coat, and I`m currently figuring out this whole `being a cat` thing! My life started out pretty rough, so sometimes I get a little overwhelmed and need a moment to process all the new sights and sounds. Don`t worry, though! I`m making huge strides every day. I`m learning that toys are fun, laps are cozy, and that a gentle pet feels amazing. I`ve got so much potential and so much love to give—I just need a patient, quiet human to help me continue to learn the ropes!

Story
Buddy is a gorgeous male cat with beautiful tail. He has a quirky personality. He will sit on your lap for a short period but prefers to make that his choice, not yours. He is occasionally vocal with a tiny voice that doesn't match his size! He tends to be shy. The owner is choosing to rehome Buddy due to her family caretaker responsibilities that have become more demanding recently.
