Hi, I’m available for adoption! Please read the questions and answers below to learn more about me. If I sound like a good fit, come out to Greenhill Humane Society to meet me! Do you like other cats? I`ve done okay with other cats and would likely do well with another cat after a slow introduction period. What do you think about living with a dog? I`ve never lived with a dog before but I might do well living with one after a slow introduction period. How do you feel about kids? I might do okay with kids but would need to meet them before I went to live with them. What was your previous home like? I lived indoors only. What’s your ideal home like? An indoor home with a loving and caring family. Is there anything else we should know about you? My previous owner said, `She likes when we throw little balls down the hallway for her to chase. She doesn`t like to be held, but occasionally will cuddle up on our lap for a nap. She likes when we pet her, just prefers her feet on the ground`

Story
SASHA is a fluffy, solid black female adult kitty with eyes that are sometimes golden or sometimes green, depending upon her mood. She is a special girl, very enchanting with a personality that is made up of both sugar and spice. She is known for both her independence and her charm. She will demand your attention, but you must know that she would be best suited in a home as an only cat, no small children, and with someone who is very familiar with cats and who knows how to read their behaviors. The Sugar/Charming Sasha: She can be a VERY affectionate cat that loves to lay in your lap while being petted. She will follow you around while rubbing against your legs asking you to pet her. She loves to climb up to higher spaces while watching you. Once you have earned her trust, she will give you head bumps and rubs as well as purring. She loves to play and chase toys that you toss to her. The Spicy/Sassy Sasha: During her adaptation to new places and people, she can display body language and behaviors that warrant allowing this girl her own space. Slow deliberate movements so that you don't startle her, are very helpful. If you are well-versed in cat language you will realize this and allow her the space she needs. It will take a while (probably a couple of months) for her to come out of her shell on her own terms. Sasha was a bottle baby who was about 3 months old when first adopted. She was returned after five years—we think that she did not like having small children around, nor did she like the other cat in the house. [When she was a kitten, she had no other cats to show her the ropes.] Sasha is a very special cat who will reward a patient adopter with incredible love and affection, once she has acclimated and bonded to her new human. SASHA has been spayed, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet SASHA in foster care, please submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at Petsmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $100 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1. ID # 1609-C0501R NOTE: CRAN WILL SPONSOR TWO FREE GROOMING APPTS DURING THE FIRST YEAR AFTER SASHA IS ADOPTED. Story
WETZEL is a long-haired golden tabby adult male with a very fluffy, expressive tail. He loves to be around people, and will lean against you while you are reading, crafting, chatting with friends, or even watching TV. He also enjoys long naps on a variety of beds. He loves his tall cat tower where he can watch the outside world go by. He is the perfect mix of playful and couch potato. He can spend hours chasing feathers, mice, banana toys, and strings around the room as long as someone is playing with him. He will remind his humans when it is time for a feeding, and if you ignore him, he will gently pat the side of your head. Wetzel can be shy with strangers, but he warms up quickly to anyone who appreciates him for the amazing cat that he is. He loves treats, getting gentle pets, and would enjoy a calm home – likely best as an only cat. Wetzel is smart and independent, and is perfect for a family that wants to adore a cat who will adore them right back. WETZEL is a special needs kitty who came to us with an auto-immune condition called Pillow Foot (swelling of his foot pads).  This is treated with an immune suppressing medication (cyclosporine).  He is currently in remission, but will need to continue on the medication every 3 days, for the time being.  He is also on a special diet (Royal Canin Urinary S/O+Calm), and the total estimated monthly cost of his diet and medication is $175.  His adopter should also be experienced with long-haired cats, as he will require weekly hairball medication and brushing.   To meet WETZEL in foster care, please submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at Petsmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $70 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Story
Are you ready to welcome royalty into your home? SHADOW ROXY, is a medium-haired, solid grey female beauty, looking for her forever kingdom. This stately, senior lady has a regal air about her that says, “You are so lucky to be in my presence.”  Roxy is perfect for someone who appreciates the quiet, independent charm of a cat that knows her worth.  She’ll happily accept pets when the mood is right and she’s got a soft heart that reveals itself to those who respect her aristocratic nature.  Since Roxy isn’t a fan of chaos, she isn’t the best fit for a household with young, rambunctious children. She prefers a calm, composed environment where she can rule with elegance, grace, and maybe a little bit of attitude. She would appreciate a royal subject who will provide delectable treats and occasionally wave a string toy around that she can chase when she’s feeling daring.  Roxy lived with her devoted humans until they recently passed away, and she is looking for a new forever home that wants a beautiful, quietly loving companion. SHADOW ROXY has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. She is in good health, and her bloodwork is normal.   To meet her in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at Petsmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet.  Her $70 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care for other kittens and cats in need.  Please submit an application online at www.CatRescues.org/forms or paper copy available at either Eugene PetSmart store. Call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org for more information. Thank you! ID#1810-C0449. DOB: 4/1/13 (est) BEST AS AN ONLY PET NO YOUNG CHILDRENAugust 6, 2025, 11:15 pm

Story
RAVEN is an extra large and fluffy black male adult cat with beautiful red highlights and a strut to match his regal personality. He's a confident boy who loves people and attention. Raven is a sweet and inquisitive guy who has plenty of playful energy, and lots of love to offer his humans.  He came to our cat rescue group when his family was unable care for him.  Being abandoned hasn't cramped his style, though, and he is ready for his forever home and his new best friends.  He will make a wonderful companion for you and your family. RAVEN has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  He is in excellent health, but he recently suffered a urinary blockage.  He is completely well now, but he must stay on a prescription urinary-health dry food for the rest of his life. To meet RAVEN in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at Petsmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet.  The $100 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Story
Gentle Souls and Loyal Companions! BEN and HOPE are two sweet, bonded, older gentlemen with hearts full of love and a spirit that’s been through a lot. After surviving years in poor living conditions, both are finally safe and cared for—but Hope’s journey left its mark. Due to his age and past neglect, Hope had to have most of his teeth removed. But don’t worry—he adjusted beautifully and can still enjoy soft food and gentle treats! Naturally shy at first, both Ben and Hope take time getting to know you—but once they do, they melt into affection. They adore chin scratches and cozy naps near their favorite people. Neither of them mind other calm cats or dogs, but they must be adopted together. These special boys are looking for a quiet home where they can finally enjoy their golden years surrounded by warmth, patience, and love. If you have a soft spot for gentle souls who just need a second chance, Ben and Hope are waiting to meet you. Ben and Hope has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, are negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet HOPE and BEN in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at PetSmart. Story
Elegant, cuddly, sweet gentleman kitty SYLVESTER is all you need in a lap cat. He loves to play with his catnip stuffie and bat his rolly-ball around, but his most favorite thing is to snuggle up with his favorite person and sleep on their hip or belly each night. This gorgeous, fluffy, black-and-white stunner is a gentle, quiet soul who prefers a peaceful home and a set routine where he can relax and mellow out with his human friends.  Sylvester came into our rescue when the last member of his original adopting family died; he had lived with them more than 11 years. He prefers to be an only cat, but can be okay with other cats who will let him be the boss. He does not like dogs, and has not been around young children. SYLVESTER has some medical struggles which will require prescription food, daily medication (which he takes easily), on-going monitoring, and follow-up veterinary care. Our veterinary team has determined that he has a mild heart murmur and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) which will need on-going management. With proper diet, attention and medication, this lovely special-needs kitty will return your care and devotion many times over. SYLVESTER has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet Sylvester in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at Petsmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $70 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community.
