Domestic Longhair kittens & cats in Tyrone, Pennsylvania

Poppy is a sweet 3 year old medium-long haired cat. She is a little more on the shy/nervous side so small children and lots of other chaos is not her favorite. However she does love attention. She could probably do one other pet. She also loves watching birds out the window. We are moving out of state and need to find her the right home.

Hi! My name is Violet Beauregard and I am almost 7 years old. I am a beautiful ball of fluff that will need regular brushing to keep me from getting matted. My eyes are a stunning shade of green. I am new to the shelter and super shy right now. I will not let staff handle or touch me as I am still adjusting after being abandoned at the shelter. Multiple visits will be required for anyone interested in taking me home to make sure it is the best fit and to let me warm up to any potential adopters. My staff are hoping I will come out of my shell and let my true self shine! I have not been tested with other cats or dogs. We took in a young (~2.5 y.o.) front-declawed stray last year and she is a blast. She loves to play, be brushed, and “sploots” across furniture to nap. While not a lap cat, she is affectionate and loves being around her people. June 3rd vet visit confirmed clean bill of health. She is especially vulnerable without front claws and strictly indoor-only.When she first came to us, she used the litter box normally. After being introduced to our four other cats, she began marking and has struggled with urinating outside the box. Our Vet says this is due to stress—she does not feel safe in a multi-cat environment. No UTI.Because of this, she needs to be the *only pet in a patient home* where she can feel secure again. She is not aggressive—but overwhelmed in our small, crowded household. This has been a very difficult decision. We love her deeply and want to find her a home where she can finally relax and thrive.We are happy to answer questions and will take time to ensure the right fit.
