Story
Eleanor is very sweet she loves cuddles but most of the time she’s hidden in small places, she loves to lay in the window sill. We are looking for a loving home for her. Since we’ve had our baby she has been in distress and we are having trouble helping her we can’t find a solution and I think it’s best to find a home that is loving and can give her the attention she needs she is a wonderful cat but she’s not very friendly with other cats she was attacked by other cats when she was young. She does great with our dogs but she will let them know when they start to annoy her. She is about 7 years old and is quite a small cat, she’s also very picky with her food.

Story
UPDATE: Our vet believes that Noodle was born without fully developed eyelids. He does not seem in pain, has normal vision and does not need eye drops. He is coming out of his shell and gets around just fine! -------------------------- Beautiful Noodle has unfortunately spent most of his short life in the loud, scary, and often chaotic environment of a shelter. He is understandably nervous and shy as he adjusts to a loving foster home for the first time, and will take some time to get used to being pet and loved. He has already discovered that he loves belly rubs! Noodle also will be treated for a probable case of entropion, an eyelid condition which is irritating and often painful. With surgery, entropion can be corrected and should cause no further issues. Please watch this post and our Facebook page for updates on this sweet boy as we take care of his medical needs. Pre-adoption applications are being accepted now. Est. DOB: April 2025 WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place animals. If the cat is under the age of 1 year old or has heath issues, a vet reference is required, which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $140 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, FIV/FELV test and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. We only do adoptions on Saturday, and not all animals are able to attend. So if you would like to see a specific animal, please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary, so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees, since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap, so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible. Please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.

Story
Squid is a curious, playful, energetic cat who loves to cuddle. He is the type of cat to run to the door when someone comes home. He jumps on my back and stays there while I do laundry or things around the house. He loves to curl up against or between my legs to sleep at night. He is super loving and playful, I am just not able to give him the attention he needs. I will send his favorite toys with him as well. He is being rehomed because my significant other has two dogs, and they are not getting along at all. He has been with other dogs who are friendly with cats, and just growled at them with minimal issues. With my partner’s dogs, he growls and hisses at them and the dogs go after him. We’ve had to separate him from them, and with four animals, he isn’t getting the enrichment and play time he deserves. I can keep him indefinitely, I just want to find a good fit where he is happy. Squid brought so much joy to my life, and I want him to be safe and be able to do that for someone else.

Story
Bitsy has been the sweetest kitty to me and our kids and is very affectionate. She always wants to lay on someone and have her nose tucked underneath our chin and just be pet and loved on. My husband recently lost his job and because his job provided our housing we are losing our home. We have until November 22nd to find her a home. The shelters have denied us because of a lack of space.
