Story
Leah is a super fluffy barn cat with a big love for food and a strong independent streak. She’s quick to show up for meals and treats, and is curious about what's going on around her, but she'd rather you not try to pet her. Leah is happiest in a barn, shed, or outbuilding where she can enjoy regular meals (and treats wouldn't hurt), safe shelter, and the freedom to do things her own way. She’s looking for a caregiver who understands that not all cats want hands-on affection and can appreciate her presence, fluff, and work ethic just as she is.

Story
Hi Y'all, My name is Lady Jane Grey. And yes, I do act very regal and wear my long furry coat like regal vestments. Sending you a meowy hello. Would you like to meet a mischevious young lady who will add fun and play time to your life? Well, then....here I am!!! My sister, Lady Katherine, and I were very very young first time moms at the same time. I had 2 kittens and my sister had 1 kitten. My sister nursed her kitten along with mine. So I learned to play with all the kittens instead of being a full time mom like Katherine. We were rescued from living outside alone with our kittens by a very nice lady who took us to her home. We were very good moms and all of our kittens were adopted quickly by very loving people. Now it is my turn to be adopted into a loving home. My luxurious soft gray long fur coat makes me supremely regal and elegant. No worries...my coat is surprisingly low maintenance. I have a cute and funny purrrrrrsonality. Let me play with my toys and chase other kitties and I will be soooo thrilled. I loved cuddling and playing. YEP. I am very mischievious and I like all the toys in our house. I will steal toys from the other kittens and cats and run away with them. I don't ever ever want to grow up. Ha !!!! I like to sleep in a box under my foster mom's bed during the day and at night. My mom is working on making me a lap kitty and she believes that I will once day love to be a lap cat with patience and lots of love. Since I am very active when I am awake I love dining well and always have a great appetite. Yes, I am food motivated...you may be able to teach me tricks if you give me treats. I love being petted in tranquil and peaceful settings. Sometimes being chill has a very good payoff for me. My foster mom LOVES me very very much and is looking for the right match. If you think you are that match, complete the HAL “Adoption Application” located on our website. We will set up a meet and greet and you can take me home for a few days before you make your final decision to adopt me. www.halsc.org Look forward to meeting you, Lady Jane
