Meowdy there, fabulous feline fanciers! I'm Mulch, the stylish ginger and white guy with a purr-ecious pink button nose that's just begging for some love! While I might take a bit of time to warm up, trust me, I'm worth the wait! You'll often find me allowing gentle pets through my kennel bars, but I do appreciate my personal space until I'm fully adjusted. Oh, and speaking of settling in, I've got some serious cat-friendly vibes - just ask my neighbor kitties, whom I serenade with sweet trills whenever I get the chance! So, if you're the patient paw-rent I've been dreaming of, then come on down and let's kickstart our purr-fect adventure together! The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon until 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet Mulch with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilco.org.We will see you at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626.

Story
8 year old Tuffy is very shy and is usually found on the floor looking up. If you are interested in adopting from the City of Georgetown Animal Shelter, please fill out an application at https://records.georgetown.org/Forms/AdoptApp . Approved applicants will be contacted to schedule an appointment to meet available dogs and cats. Please contact the shelter with any additional questions. The application/screening process for potential adopters usually takes about 24 hours except when it falls over a weekend or holiday, and then it may take two or three days. We ask that potential adopters please be patient with us; we are only trying our best to ensure that the homeless pets in our care get the best possible home. All cats and dogs adopted from our shelter are spayed or neutered (as Texas law mandates). Our adoption fee is currently $70 for non-residents and $75 for residents*. The adoption fee includes: spaying/neutering vaccinations (appropriate to species and age) heartworm or feline leukemia test (appropriate to species and age) de-worming medication microchip (a tiny ID tag inserted under the skin, which allows your pet to be returned to you quickly) There is a $5 Pet License fee added to the adoption fee if the adopter lives inside the City Limits of Georgetown. Please visit our website for more information on how to adopt, special events, adoption application, educational and volunteer information. http://pets.georgetown.org/ Georgetown Animal Shelter P.O. Story
Meet Purrky! Purrky is a very sweet and lovely cat. She gets along with other cats (including kittens) and children. I noticed that she gets along better with male cats than female cats, but still does fine. She doesn't do well with dogs, so she needs a dog free house. Purrky loves cat trees and a quiet environment. She loves wet food amd enjoys to be petted. Purrky has a skin condition that she's still healing from due to being a rescued cat. Purrky has had 1 litter of 3 kittens (Wally, Layla and Daisy). She's an amazing companion. Purrky's personality is shy but with your love, understanding and patience, she'll come out of her shell. ***please note Purrky has tested FIV positive. She is very ok to live in a home with other cats. FIV is a disease that compromises their immune system so she may be more vulnerable to illness. FIV is only contagious to other cats when there has been a major bite and enters the blood stream. Most FIV cats go on to live a happy normal cat life.
