Story
Curious, Playful, Floofy! Myrrh is an exotic spice who is cuddly and still acts young at heart! This cutie wants to be your adorable shadow and she loves the feather toy and chasing toy mice! She enjoys a good chat and will chirp and meow if you want to discuss the happenings in the world. Myrrh was a stray before coming to APA! and she is learning the lay of the land. She would love some patience as she gets used to her surroundings. Once she gets acclimated she will be your best friend and enjoy everything you do. She will wander around adorably following you - whether brushing your teeth to making a sandwich, you will laugh while she hops on the counter to see what you are doing. Myrrh would love someone who can give her space but also give her attention once she is comfortable. She would be okay with other animals as long as there is time for her to adjust - otherwise she would be wonderful as the solo pet who can get all your attention. She will snuggle up next to you and watch a movie - she's a bit like a dog, which is so sweet. This gorgeous gal is sure to spice up your home! All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. For further information or to meet Myrrh, please email adopt@austinpetsalive.org.

Story
Affectionate, goofy, and totally gorgeous! Meet Vampire Slayer! This fabulously fluffy girl is ready to "slay" your heart, and is guaranteed to charm anyone she meets! Vampire Slayer, known as Buffy in her foster home, is half kitten, half bunny, and 100% perfect. While her care may look a little different from other kitties, she loves to snuggle and play just like any other kitten! Vampire Slayer has Manx Syndrome, and as is common with Manx cats, her spine is shortened and didn't develop normally. As a result, she doesn't have a tail and her back legs are wonky - which is why she looks a bit like a bunny as she hops around! She is also incontinent, and needs manual expressions about three times a day to help her go potty. It's pretty straightforward, and doesn't take much time to care for her! Once you get the hang of it, it could take no more than 15 minutes a day; APA! will show you how to manually express Vampire Slayer and make sure you are comfortable with it. Vampire Slayer loves to wrestle, explore, and cuddle with her best friend Eezburger 2, and they would love to find a home together. However, she has gotten along well with the other kitties in her foster home, and would likely adjust easily to any home where she can have playmates! She has never met a dog, but would likely do just fine with a slow introduction. While Vampire Slayer may need a little extra care, including manual expressions, a daily medication, and the occasional booty bath, she will repay her humans in endless purrs, snuggles, and hilarious kitten antics! Her foster parents would love to tell you more about this very special kitten and answer any questions you have about her needs - contact us today to arrange a meet-and-greet!

Story
This Queen Bee is ready to be the queen of your heart! Queen Bee is a laid back girl, who loves to relax and lounge around. It can take a second to crack her out of her shell, but she still can't resist head and chin scratches when she first meets you. Queen Bee doesn't play a lot individually, but she will tussle around with her kittens. She is also a big fan of horizontal cat scratchers, and she will go to town scratching them! She also loves windows and laying out in the sunshine, she likes to completely stretch out while she is relaxing! If Queen Bee sees a treat in hand she will happily waltz right up, any nervousness forgotten. Her experience with other kitties and dogs is unknown, but she has heard dogs barking and hasn't shown signs of fear or aggression. Queen Bee can get anxious from loud noises and quick movements, so children are probably not for her. She would thrive in a calm environment that has a day-to-day routine. Queen Bee prefers a peaceful life! In order to see more on Queen Bee you can check her out on instagram @House_of_Floofs_ATx! All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
