We made the mistake of thinking we could have two male cats in our home. They fight constantly and it’s not realistic to keep them both. Our other cat is 18 and too old to rehome. Finn really tortures him and makes his life miserable. Besides the fighting with our other cat, Finn is a love. He’s playful, curious, incredibly soft and fluffy, and adorably cuddly. We’ve had to put him outside to give our older cat some peace and Finn is so sad. He loves being in the house with people. Finn loves people. He loves to be with people. He loves to be inside the house. He has long bushy fluffy hair so being outside gets his hair in knots and tangles, although he doesn’t mind being brushed. He doesn’t like other cats so need a home where he can be the only pet. He gets along fine with our dog because he was raised with our dog but is afraid of other dogs. He may warm up to a new dog but it’s unlikely. The best situation would be a home with no other pets.

We've had Nix for 12 years since our oldest son brought her home, but our daughter has moved back home and has allergies that prevent us from keeping her. We've tried the allergy food, which helped some, but not enough. She loves to be around people and cuddle. She even tolerates our grandchildren for a time until they are overwhelming, then she just leaves the situation. She has even learned to be around our son's dogs when they stay with us for a few days, but I don't know how she would be long-term. She is sweet and kind and mostly indoors. She has always used the outside to relieve herself, and we've not had to use a litter box with her unless we are out of town for a few days. I believe she would love someone who has time to spend and cuddle with her daily. I don't think she would do well with another cat around; she constantly fought with her son, who our son wanted to keep in the house.
