Story
St. Lawrence is a stunning, fluffy 2½-year-old black-and-white long-haired cat with a hint of Maine Coon charm. Her early life was unique and challenging, which has made her understandably cautious around people, other animals, and unfamiliar noises. During her two years in foster care, while her sister Valencia gradually came out of her shell, St. Lawrence remained shy and relied heavily on Valencia for comfort and reassurance. The two are deeply bonded and must be adopted together. St. Lawrence would thrive in a quiet, spacious home without dogs, other cats, or children—an environment where she can feel safe, secure, and truly at ease. A larger home with plenty of room to explore, roam, and discover cozy, tucked-away spots for napping would suit her perfectly. When you visit, you’ll most likely find St. Lawrence cuddled up with Valencia in their favorite spot—curled together at the bottom of their beloved cat tree, often resting on their red blanket. Gentle voices, slow movements, and giving St. Lawrence the time and space to approach on her own terms will go a long way in earning her trust. We truly believe that Valencia and St. Lawrence will flourish together in a peaceful, loving home where they can feel safe, cherished, and understood. St. Lawrence is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She can be met daily at the shelter between 12–6 p.m. For more information, please email adoptions@caspca.org.

Story
Valencia is an absolutely stunning 2½-year-old calico longhair with a luxurious, Maine Coon–like mane and extra fluff to match. She is deeply bonded to her sister, St. Lawrence, and the two must be adopted together. Valencia’s early life was unique and challenging, which made her understandably cautious around people and unfamiliar noises. During her two years in foster care, however, she made incredible progress-blossoming into a sweet little love bug and a devoted protector to her sister. St. Lawrence is her comfort and her constant, and Valencia takes her role as best friend and guardian very lovingly and seriously. Since arriving at the SPCA, Valencia has become more reserved again as she adjusts to her new surroundings. While she’s currently shy and skeptical, we know that with patience, consistency, and a calm environment, her beautiful personality will shine through once more. Valencia would thrive best in a quiet, spacious home without dogs, other cats, or children—an environment where she can feel safe, secure, and truly at ease. A large home with plenty of room to explore and claim as her own would be ideal. When you visit, you’ll likely find Valencia cuddled up with St. Lawrence in their favorite spot—curled together at the bottom of their beloved cat tree, usually on their red blanket. Gentle voices, slow movements, and allowing Valencia to approach on her own terms will go a long way in earning her trust.
