Story
Garland is an ~ 4.5 month old female. She is current on her vaccinations and microchipped! ***Garland is currently being treated for ringworm and is eligible for our Foster to Adopt Program until she is cleared and able to be spayed! While ringworm may sound scary, it is easily treated by following a simple protocol. Please don’t hesitate to ask us for more information! Hi! My name is Garland! I am ready to meet my new forever family who I know will fall in love with my adorable personality! Here are a few things about me: I have lots of energy and I love to play; so, I will require lots of toys to play with and things to keep me busy in my new house. I am a spunky, playful, curious, and adventurous kitten so I like to explore (and maybe occasionally get into a bit of kitten mischief!). I am sweet but can be shy at times, but don't worry once I know you I love hanging out with you! When I finally get tired after playing, I enjoy snuggling close and will fall asleep right on you while purring away! Since I can be a little bit shy sometimes, especially when there is a lot of noise and commotion, I would prefer a calmer home with slightly older children at least 5 years of age or older. If you are interested in adopting, start by filling out an application on our website and email it to frontdesk@couleehumane.com OR you can print and drop off in person: https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal?rq=application

Story
This sweetie is Fluffy. She is the remaining kitten from Luna's litter, but she's found a new brother from another in one of our "runts," Pesto. The two came from litters that were less socialized and they were both the shiest of their bunch. Do not let their slow beginnings throw you! These two are the sweetest kittens you ever did meet. Maybe not as high energy as some of our other kittens, but given some one-on-one attention, you'll see how much they shine! They both have grown much more confident in the presence of strangers and are still so young. We really would love to see Pesto and Fluffy go home together, seeing how much they've bonded here at the rescue. It's clear that together they can take on the world! And, of course, they're typical kittens who like to play and run around and nap together, and they would love to go to the same home, so they can support each other, even if they've entered their lanky teenage years. It is extremely beneficial for kittens to be together. It's a great way to ensure they have a friend and a more enriching life. Plus, they learn by observing and interacting with each other, making it easier to learn about scratching limits and develop social skills. Kittens will do well with other cats, cat-savvy dogs and children with a proper introduction! We will give preference to adoption applications for the pair. You can meet Fluffy (and Pesto) during our open hours every Wednesday 4-7pm and Saturday 10am-1pm. For an appointment, call us at 507-895-2066 or email info@lacrescentanimalrescue.com

Story
Who could resist this sweet face? Squid came to DHS as a stray and is estimated to be around 4 years old. He has a handsome, sleek black coat and a wonderfully social personality. Squid loves following staff around the office area, lounging on wall-mounted cat climbers, and soaking up the sunshine during long naps.Squid was recently returned from an adopted home and would do best as the only cat in the household. He is best suited for a home with children 12 years and older, where he can enjoy calm companionship and plenty of attention.“I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org.
