Story
Oh, Mickey, you’re so fine. You’re so fine you blow my mind. Hey, Mickey!” (“Hey Mickey” by Bring It On) Yes, I’m Mickey, and I was fine once upon a time. When I was a young adult back in 2017, I came to Paws and Claws after I was found in Grandview Cemetery in SE Rochester. My name was Henry. I was adopted and returned due to landlord issues, then adopted again. I’ve been Mickey ever since. Now, I’m back at Paws and Claws again because I’ve been diagnosed with diabetes, and my family could not afford insulin. When I was returned to the shelter, I was not so fine. My fur was full of mats, and I had lost a lot of weight. So I went to a wonderful foster home, where I received lots of TLC. My matted coat was shaved, and I became much more comfortable. My diabetes is now under control, and I am gaining weight. I will need to continue on insulin and have my glucose levels monitored by a vet. My mom said this about me: I am a good cat who listens! If I am told, “No” I answer with a little “Meow,” and I am a good boy. Because I am diabetic, I drink lots of water. I love ice in my water. I am strictly an indoor cat. If I ever do go outdoors, I will walk on the grass in the yard with you and never wander off. I was very, very loved by my family, and they were heartbroken to have to give me up. They asked that you take good care of me. Scratch me under my chin and behind my ears. They sent my favorite toy with me, my yellow mouse. Please don’t lose it! Please, someone, I want to be in a loving forever home. I want someone to say, “Hey, Mickey! You’re mine!” Adoption fee $50 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Story
Meet Teddy – Gentle Giant & Resident Cat Daddy Teddy is a 13-pound bundle of love wrapped in luxurious long black fur. Don’t let his size fool you—he’s a total sweetheart! Originally believed to be feral, Teddy quickly showed us his true colors: affectionate, calm, and irresistibly lovable. See video of Teddy: https://www.facebook.com/felinefriendsoflakepepin/videos/818872137234829 Now affectionately known as the 'Cat Daddy' of our rescue, Teddy has taken on the role of gentle guardian and mentor to our younger cats. He’s a calm, reassuring presence who gets along beautifully with others, making him a great addition to a multi-cat household. Teddy’s favorite things? Being brushed (he purrs like a motor!), lounging and relaxing, and playing like a kitten when the mood strikes. Wherever he goes he draws a crowd of adoring kittens, who grooms and treats like his favorite children. He’s the perfect mix of mellow and playful, and he’s ready to share his heart with a forever family. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a big heart and even bigger charm, Teddy might just be your guy. Text Rebecca at (612) 366-2724.November 13, 2025, 11:57 am

Story
Meet Mufasa 🐾 Mufasa is a gorgeous long-haired orange cat who was found living on the streets and is now looking for a forever home. Despite his rough start, he has a gentle heart and is ready to share his love with someone special. Mufasa would prefer to be the only pet in the home, though with time and patience he may be able to adjust to other cats. His experience with dogs is unknown. This regal boy deserves a safe, loving place to call his own. If you’re looking for a loyal and affectionate companion, Mufasa may be the perfect match for you. ❤️
