Story
This sweetie is Fluffy. She is the remaining kitten from Luna's litter, but she's found a new brother from another in one of our "runts," Pesto. The two came from litters that were less socialized and they were both the shiest of their bunch. Do not let their slow beginnings throw you! These two are the sweetest kittens you ever did meet. Maybe not as high energy as some of our other kittens, but given some one-on-one attention, you'll see how much they shine! They both have grown much more confident in the presence of strangers and are still so young. We really would love to see Pesto and Fluffy go home together, seeing how much they've bonded here at the rescue. It's clear that together they can take on the world! And, of course, they're typical kittens who like to play and run around and nap together, and they would love to go to the same home, so they can support each other, even if they've entered their lanky teenage years. It is extremely beneficial for kittens to be together. It's a great way to ensure they have a friend and a more enriching life. Plus, they learn by observing and interacting with each other, making it easier to learn about scratching limits and develop social skills. Kittens will do well with other cats, cat-savvy dogs and children with a proper introduction! We will give preference to adoption applications for the pair. You can meet Fluffy (and Pesto) during our open hours every Wednesday 4-7pm and Saturday 10am-1pm. For an appointment, call us at 507-895-2066 or email info@lacrescentanimalrescue.com

Story
Persie is an ~ 6 year old spayed female. She is current on her vaccinations and microchipped!Meet Persie! Persie was admittingly not a very happy girl when she first arrived at the shelter but after giving her just a little bit of time to adjust she showed us that she is actually a sweet, goofy, and playful girl! While this beautiful lady will likely need some time to adjust in a new home, once she does she loves getting lots of gentle pets from her favorite people. She isn’t a needy girl though and does just fine with her independence too—and in fact, she may actually prefer her space at times. She enjoys spending her days exploring her surroundings, chasing around her toys, and lounging up high so she can see everything going on around her. While Persie loves playing and spending time with her favorite people, she does get overstimulated at times and easily startles from fast movements or loud noises. So, she would do best in a cat savvy home where any children are at least 8 years of age or older and understand that she may prefer her space at times. She has never lived with other furry friends before but may do ok with other low-key and respectful pets in the home given slow and proper introductions to one another. If you are interested in adopting, start by filling out an application on our website and email it to frontdesk@couleehumane.com OR you can print and drop off in person: https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal?rq=application

***Thanks to a generous donation from Tika’s owners, all senior cat adoption fees are being sponsored through our Tika Senior Cat Adoption Promotion – including Remi’s!Remi is a 7 year old spayed female. She is current on her vaccinations, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative!Meet Remi! Remi is a sweet and social older gal who still has lots of pep in her step and is ready to venture off into her new home! While Remi loves pets and attention from her favorite people and spending quality time with them, she also does just fine with her independence and at times prefers it—just as we all do! When she’s not busy lounging around, she can be quite the curious and even goofy girl at times who likes to go exploring especially when something fun catches her eye.In her last home, Remi got along great with the larger breed dog as well as the other cats; so, she shouldn’t mind having other respectful furry friends in her new home either given slow and proper introductions to one another. She did also live with children but was easily stressed out by the younger ones so she would prefer that any children in the home be at least 8 years of age or older who understand she may prefer her space at times. If you are interested in adopting, start by filling out an application on our website and email it to frontdesk@couleehumane.com OR you can print and drop off in person: https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal?rq=application

Story
Meet Embassy!Embassy is an 11-week old female. She is microchipped and up to date on her distemper vaccinations.**Embassy can receive applications but cannot go home until after her spay on 6/4**Embassy is a lively and spirited kitten who absolutely LOVES her feline friends, so much that she's required to go to a home with another friendly and confident cat. This beautiful kitten has a few favorite hobbies that include zooming through the house chasing her toys, scaling the cat tree like a total pro and, being treated to some of her favorite snacks after a long days work of creating chaos with her sidekick.Embassy will likely take a few days to settle into her home, and would greatly benefit from starting out in a small space to adjust to the sounds and smells of her home along with learning to trust her new human.Embassy will do best in a home with kids 8+ and cat-savvy dogs. She is required to go home with another cat.If you are interested in adopting, start by filling out an application on our website and email it to frontdesk@couleehumane.com OR you can print and drop off in person: https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal?rq=application

She is current on her vaccinations and microchipped! Octavia is also front declawed.Meet Octavia! Octavia is a beautiful senior lady who is ready to find a relaxing home to call her own. She absolutely adores pets and attention from everyone she meets; and she will jump right into your lap the moment you sit down or crawl up your shoulder to give you hugs. When she’s not busy soaking up your attention, she is a mostly mellow lady however she can be very curious at times especially when something new and exciting catches her eye.In her last home, Octavia lived with another kitty as well as kids and even had a doggy visitor at times—all of whom she got along great with!
