Story
Tiki! The ultimate petit darling of a girl! With a coat like silk that flows when she prances and a voice that chatters with happiness, she just glows. Life is grand to her and it shows. Not only does Tiki have a wonderful attitude, personality and looks, she also carries uniqueness with her all the time. Her tail does a full curl over her back. It is so fluffy and seems to have every hair in place all the time. She is just under one year old! Tiki is very playful not only with toys but with other cats as well. Whether she is chasing the catnip mouse across the floor or doing the zoomies with her cat friends she is on the move a lot. When she does decide to have some down time, she loves to stretch out on the bed and go into that deep sleep and dream. Happy dreams of course. She does great with the dog in her foster home and would be just fine with kids who understand kindness to cats with gentle pets and love to share. Now that the days are getting warmer and longer, she loves being in the catio and will need to have a safe outdoor area she can spend time with her family and feel the grass beneath her feet. She is just under one year old! She is in Palmer. Please call 907-350-8089. Thank you!

He's a very handsome fellow with golden eyes but his recent shave may not be the most flattering. But if you meet him, he'll steal your heart. He is in Kenai. Call or text 907 953-0333

Story
Laika (A134046) is a 2-year-old cat who weighed just over 16 pounds on intake!05/07/25 Laika is back at the shelter and looking for his new home! Laika was surrendered back to the shelter because he was fighting with the other cats in the home. As previously mentioned, Laika is looking for a home without feline roommates. In his past home it was also stated that he is very cat like in the fact that he knocks things off of counters and will get into cupboards causing chaos. Laika would appreciate plenty of enrichment and appropriate stimulation in his next home. Providing him with a cat tree and scratching poles would most likely make him very happy. His owner did note that he scratches and has a more reserved personality. It was noted that he gets agitated when being brushed; however, at the shelter he has seemed to enjoy being brushed in short quantities. He is a cat that can become overstimulated so listening to him and giving him space when he asks is important. He was said to be litterbox trained and has used it well. Laika is looking for a special and understanding home that can set him up for success, if you are interested in meeting him, please let us know! 04/19/24 Laika is back at the shelter due to no fault of his own. His previous owner unfortunately learned that she was allergic to him. In the short time that they had Laika, they said he was a wonderful, sweet and quiet cat. He did well using his litterbox and was said to ride well in the car. He was said to be rough when playing, so he may need some gentle reminders on appropriate play styles. If you are interested in meeting Mr. Laika, please give the shelter a call!04/08/24 Laika was surrendered to the shelter because he was fighting with the other cat in the home. While his owner was breaking up a catfight, Laika bit the owner, resulting in him having to serve out a 10-day bite quarantine. Laikaâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s prior owner felt he would do best in a home without other pets as he is generally fearful of them resulting in fights. He was described as a shy but friendly cat in his last home. Laika has often been found at the front of his kennel soliciting attention. Laika would most likely do best in a quiet home where he can feel truly comfortable. He has no prior history with babies or children. Laika was said to be litterbox trained and has used it well at the shelter. We have also noted that he has a very healthy appetite and loves crunchy treats. If you have a home setting that you feel could be appropriate for Laika and are interested in meeting him, please lets us know! May 8, 2025, 9:02 pm

Story
Licorice is such a cool and friendly kitty. He may need a moment to warm up to new people at first, but we promise he is worth getting to know! Licorice loves to play with toys and is always so happy to be given a cat-nip toy. When he was first brought to the shelter he was very shut down so it`s great to see how much more confident and happier he is! We do not know if Licorice has lived with other animals or children. Though we do anticipate him doing well with children, he will need time to adapt to his new home! In the shelter he has not appeared to be bothered by the other cats. Introductions should be taken slowly! Licorice is such a fun cat with a spunky personality. If you feel that your home would be a good fit for him, we would love for you to come by and meet him!
