Super gentle and loving feline wants a family. Arimus showed up to our property needing to get out of the freezing cold temperatures during the polar vortex in 2021. He has never left and does not venture onto the neighbor's land. He has been neutered and vaccinated. He is very affectionate and wants to be in a lap cuddling with his human. He is very much an alpha cat and will not tolerate strays coming around his territory. We believe he would do well as an indoor/outdoor cat. We have never seen him prey on mice or birds. He has a very good appetite for all kinds of cat food, and so far is very healthy. We do not know how he would feel about living with dogs or small children. May 29, 2023, 2:27 pm

I found Salem and his brother in the front yard of a home, very malnourished and covered with fleas and with a bad case of ringworm. It was in October and I knew it would be cold soon, and they weren't more than a few weeks old. So, I took them in (with permission) and I got them taken care of at the vet and brought them to a healthy weight. Salem's brother was already adopted, but with the prejudices against black cats, he has not been. He is a very lovable, silly cat. He is clumsy and absolutely cannot be described as agile. He loves to play and loves pets. He is very trusting. He is known to jump into the arms of anyone new and doesn't flinch when he gets wet. Actually, he loves water and baths. He is such a weird cat, but all of his quirks make him easier to deal with. He is still a kitten and has some mischievous behavior to go through still, but he is a delight to have around.
