Story
Indie spent her earliest weeks living outdoors on someone's property. Because of that tough start, she's still learning how to trust people and navigate the comforts of indoor life. Underneath her cautious exterior, though, is a gentle, curious youngster who's beginning to discover that humans can be pretty wonderful.Indie is currently undersocialized, which means she needs a patient adopter who understands that building trust takes time. Sudden movements and new environments can feel overwhelming for her, but with calm voices, slow introductions, and predictable routines, she's already showing signs of blossoming. Once she feels safe, she watches attentively, studies her surroundings, and even leans into quiet moments of affection. She just needs someone willing to move at her pace.Indie is also recovering from an upper respiratory infection, something common in kittens who have lived outdoors. While currently symptomless, symptoms can flare up during times of stress. If rehomed to a house with a resident cat, we recommend that cat be up-to-date on vaccinations. A confident, friendly resident cat could also be a great mentor for her, helping her learn the ropes of indoor cat life.Kittens need lots of attention and a safe environment to grow into great pets. Raising a kitten is a big commitment, but it's well worth it when you consider they'll be a part of your family for up to 20 years. If you're interested in adopting Indie, please fill out an online application below:https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 1.8 Age: 0yrs 3mths 0wks
