Story
Young Male (9mo):Leo is 9 months old and fully vetted (flea treated, dewormed, neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated for fvrcp). This little guy loves to play and run around. He’s always looking for someone to play with and when he gets tired out, he’ll come right up to u to snuggle for naptime. He loves head scratches and kisses and absolutely adores cuddles.  He’s a silly little one who’s sure to keep u entertained. Because he’s very energetic and playful, he needs a buddy so he’ll need a home that already has a young and/or high energy cat. If you don’t already have a cat at home, he’d love to be adopted with his friend Clover (see last pic) who’s listed for adoption as well! Note: This is a courtesy posting for rescuer Ciana.  The kittens/cats are not part of LB Spay & Neuter Adoptable Rescues. Please email ciana.fosterkittens@gmail.comApril 19, 2024, 2:29 am

Story
Female Bonded Pair:Half Pint (~9mo) and Gracie (~11mo) are an adorable bonded pair of sisters and both are fully vetted (flea treated, dewormed, neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated for fvrcp). These two girls are from different litters from the same mama cat and they have an adorable sisterly bond. Gracie is a wonderful older sister to little Half Pint and keeps her very clean with several daily baths (which Half Pint loves). These two love to snuggle and play with each other but they’re even happier if they have a human to join their snuggle session. Half Pint a tiny little girl who loves the company of people. She starts purring as soon as you sit next to her and adores any kind of attention. She always wants to be by my side and is happy to just sit next to me while I work. She sleeps in bed with me every night and loves to get kisses and pets. Gracie is such a pretty girl loves to play especially with her little sis but she also loves to curl up with me for a nap. She’s very friendly and loves to meet new people. She’ll run right up to you and flop on over for a belly rub. She adores cuddles and making biscuits as well. Note: This is a courtesy posting for rescuer Ciana.  The kittens/cats are not part of LB Spay & Neuter Adoptable Rescues. Please email ciana.fosterkittens@gmail.comApril 19, 2024, 2:29 am

Story
Hi, I’m Phoenix.  I was rescued from the street when I was about five months old.  I  wasn’t in the best of shape when I came to SBACC and it took about three months to figure out my problems and get me on the right medicine.  I’m a friendly, playful boy and I get along fine with other cats.  I’m finally ready for my forever home with a family who will be okay with my medical conditions and will continue the daily meds needed to keep me healthy. Story
Hi, I’m Umeko. My brother, Uno, and I were born in a foster home   My brother and I did everything together, cuddle, sleep, chase, wrestle, and play.  We had two different foster homes and met other cats and a small dog and we all got along.  Uno and I were hoping to go home together but I needed some medical attention and he had the chance for a home so he was adopted.  I’m still an active and playful kitty who can climb and run and play but my hind end is a little shaky.  I’ve had a bunch of tests and the cause is still unknown.  The vet thought I might have a spinal infection so he put me on antibiotics for a couple of months.  That helped a little but my hind end is still a little shaky.  It’s not really a big deal, and  I sure hope it won’t prevent me from finding my forever home.  I’d love to share it with another young cat or two or even with a dog. Story
Hi, I’m Howdy Do.  I originally came to SBACC as a kitten and was adopted when I was just three months old.  I don’t know what happened but I found myself living on the street for quite some time.  I was recently trapped by a young woman who was trying to trap her own cat who had escaped and instead, she found me in the trap.  She took me to a shelter to be scanned to see if I had a microchip and found that I did and that it was registered to SBACC and my original adopter.  She tried to contact the adopter with no luck so she kindly brought me back to SBACC.  It was a long drive, all the way from Altadena.  I was dirty and scared and very hissy when I arrived.  But that was then, and now I’m a friendly boy hoping to find a forever home where I will be safe and loved forever. Story
DOB 5/16/22 Sweet, gentle, beautiful and full of love. Esme is a lovely girl who has had her struggles in life and truly just wants someone to love her and give her the time and attention she deserves. This beautiful soul will sit and wait and watch you with her gorgeous eyes until you come close to give her pets and belly rubs. She is a quiet girl who loves to play. She will chase a string toy and play with your shoe laces. Esme is quite honestly a perfect companion. Miss Esme has had a bit of a journey since she left the OC Shelter in December of 2020 to join us at HOBC. She has had few gastrointestinal issues that have been ongoing. She is a bit of a medical mystery when it comes to her little tummy, however this girl always bounces back from her rough days and gives all the love in the world. We are looking for a special foster (possibly long term or forever) or adopter willing to work with us on her chronic tummy concerns and will need some patient upkeep. We promise that her sweet heart is worth every bad tummy day she may have! You can find an application here on Petfinder or on our Website: http://houseofbrokencookies.com/ or Please contact us (houseofbrokencookies@gmail.com) for more information about this pet. Prior to adoption, all cats have the following services: *Spay or Neuter *3 in 1 Vaccination *De-wormed *Treated for fleas *Tested for FIV/FELV *Micro-Chipped

Story
Beowulf is about 14 years old. He came to me when he was a kitten. I saw a little grey cat across the street, realized he was lost and called to him. He ran across the street and up our porch steps. To this day, he still comes when he is called! The name Beowulf comes from a story about a legendary warrior who slays a monster. My cat got his name from his bravery killing a giant bug that got into the house. :) Beowulf loves sleeping on the bed or the couch in the morning and sunning himself outside in the afternoon. He is playful and zooms around sometimes but wears himself out quickly. He rarely jumps and doesn't get into things. Beo is affectionate and cuddly. However, he may scratch or bite when stressed or over-stimulated, so he would do best with adults or children who are old enough to be considerate and careful. Beo has lived with other cats before, and he tolerates them.

Story
Sprout is being adopted through the San Gabriel Valley Animal Advocates. If you are interested in adopting Sprout, please submit an adoption application at http://www.sgvaa.org and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Your adoption donation allows us to rescue the next kitty from the streets and pay for all their health and medical needs. Most of our adoptable pets live in loving foster homes. We can arrange meet-and-greets with our foster families, at our live-in habitats in the West Covina and El Monte Petcos, as well as at the Huntington Beach (Edinger) PetSmart. SGVAA is an all-volunteer, non-profit rescue organization serving the San Gabriel Valley area. For more information on how you can help your community, please visit: www.sgvaa.org Their Adoption Process If you are interested in any of our adoptable pets or have additional questions, please fill out an adoption application and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Since we are an all-volunteer organization, it may take us within 24-48 hours to respond. Our little fur babies are so adorable that sometimes we get multiple applications for one pet! So if the pet you are interested in is no longer available there is no need to worry! We have plenty of friends who are furry! As part of the adoption process, we screen each new potential owner, and do home visits to ensure that an animal and owner are a good match. Once your adoption application has been approved, we will have you fill out a Pet Promise Certificate (adoption contract) *SGVAA’s adoption donation allows us to rescue the next kitty from the streets and pay for all of their health and welfare needs (spay, neuter, shots, deworming, flea meds, microchip) *We also provide free home delivery of your new kitty/kitties! About This Rescue SGVAA is dedicated to the protection and humane treatment of pets in the San Gabriel Valley area. We encourage people to rescue a homeless animal instead of buying one. Our organization also educates the community on the importance of early vaccinations for fatal and easily preventable diseases. We also advocate spaying or neutering to reduce pet overpopulation. Once an animal is in our care we vaccinate all rescues against disease & provide needed health care, fight pet overpopulation by spaying or neutering all rescues, and provide lifetime shelter and care to any rescued animal that is not adopted. Come Meet Their Pets Most of our adoptable pets live in loving foster homes. For interested adopters, we can arrange meet-and-greets with our foster families, at our live-in habitats in the West Covina and El Monte Petcos, as well as at the Huntington Beach (Edinger) Petsmart. We also post pictures of our adorable kitties at sgvaa.org, our Facebook page and on Instagram!
