Story
I have had Zelda her whole life. Unfortunately I am moving and need to find her a good home. She dislikes cats, but is okay with one or two dogs once she gets to know them. She’s shy at first but supper cuddly once she gets to know you. She loves to eat and is a butterball. She loves playing with her water. She’s still a playful cat despite being about 5 years old. It breaks my heart to rehome her but I hope she finds a good home with no cats or kids. Ideally she’d be best with someone who is home often, but she’ll be fine alone too. She has never been outside and has no outdoor survival instincts. Please keep her as an indoor pet. Shes my best friend and it genuinely hurts my heart to let her go, but I really need to find her a new home.

Story
Mosey recently came to ARC because his guardian was moving. He has adjusted quickly to his new surroundings. He especially enjoys lounging out on the screened area where he can watch everything going on in his house and outside also. He welcomes attention from staff, volunteers, and even strangers. He gets along great with the other cats in his house and seems to enjoy their company. Come meet Mosey and see for yourself what a great kitty he is! Mosey requires urinary tract food to avoid urinary tract infections. He does not seem to mind the special food that is given to him at ARC. Urinary tract food for cats is available in most pet stores and in some grocery stores. Date of birth Oct 2014November 2, 2024, 4:32 pm

Story
Fat Boy – Like so many others, Fat Boy and another kitty were brought to ARC from what was supposed to be their forever home. After the first week at ARC, Fay Boy relaxed and started to enjoy himself and socialize with the other kitties, staff, volunteers and even strangers. He now enjoys petting and attention from all! Fat Boy is a gentle natured kitty that would love to find a home where he can love and receive love forever! Fat Boy is FIV positive. FIV in cats is like HIV (the human immunodeficiency virus) and causes a feline disease that is like AIDS in humans. Although FIV is like AIDS in humans it is a highly species-specific virus that infects only felines. While there is currently no definitive cure for FIV in felines, with proper care there is no reason a cat infected with FIV cannot live a very normal, healthy life for years -- if managed appropriately.
