Story
Hello, there! My name is Melody, and I`m a sweet older lady with a simple wish: a warm lap to relax on.One of my absolute favorite things is being gently brushed – it`s so soothing! I also have a bit of a soft spot for late-night snacks (don`t tell anyone!). My ideal home would be a quiet and peaceful place where I can enjoy my golden years in comfort.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Nova is an adorable little black kitten, born approx Oct 2024.  She came into her foster home terrified of people.  She has come a very long way.  She loves to play with her toys and climb up her cat tree.  She lives to be pet but is still a bit timid and is shy of new people.  With more love she will understand that nobody is going to hurt her.  She would flourish in a house with another confident, friendly cat or kitten to help show her how great it is to be loved by people.  She might be okay with a calm, disinterested dog and older kids, but would do best in a quiet house as she does get nervous of loud noises.  She is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $225 (if adopted with another kitten/cat from our rescue the adoption fee is $400 for the pair) To adopt Nova, fill out an application at www.kakf.org/formsVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 31, 2025, 4:07 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lira is a young (DOB about Sept 2024) medium haired black kitty.  She is a very sweet young girl who is very affectionate and loves snuggles.  She loves to play with other cats and is bonded to her sister, Lefty, so they need to be adopted as a pair.  She is not bothered at all by the dogs in her foster home and will most likely play well with kids also.  She is fearless and will make herself at home anywhere.  She also makes the cutest chirps when she is wandering around the house.  She is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.   The adoption fee for Lira and Lefty is $400 for the pair To adopt Lira and Lefty, fill out an application at www.kakf.org/formsVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 26, 2025, 10:53 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lefty is a very sweet young girl (DOB approx Sept 2024).  She is a gorgeous medium haired black kitty with a slight head tilt to the left.  The vet who checked her out at the shelter noted possible cerebellar hypoplasia but otherwise she is healthy and gets around just fine.  Cerebellar Hypoplasia causes issues with balance and coordination but is not contagious and they can live healthy, normal lives.  And her slight head tilt doesn't slow her down at all.  While she is a little shy at first she warms up quickly and LOVES attention.  She loves playing with other cats and is bonded to her sister, Lira, and they will need to be adopted as a pair.  She also doesn't mind the dogs in her foster home and will probably be fine with kids who are a little older and calmer.
