Story
KENNY! KENNY is BUDDY's daddy! They both came in when the owner died. We have been trying to get KENNY's hair cleaned up because it had sooo many mats in it, when we rescued him. He looks much better but we just have some more brushing to do to smooth him out to look as handsome as he should be. The pictures we have posted do not do him justice. He is an older gentleman but in great shape and spirit. We just are slowly cleaning his mane up. It will look smooth and silky very soon. You can tell he loves the attention and feels so much better. KENNY has a good looking son with the same traits named BUDDY. He is also listed on this site. They are bonded and must go together to complete the family. They are so sweet together. They will melt your heart. Both declawed and praying for a loving home to retire in. KENNY and BUDDY are both healthy. Below is a list of the vetting that comes with their adoption fee: DECLAW NEUTERED Up to date on shots including Leukemia, the all-in-one and rabies FIV/FeLV negative. De-flead De-wormed Don't miss out! Visit KENNY and BUDDY today at Owensboro Humane Society. Open 7 days a week 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.. Want more information? Please call us - 270-302-6813! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Online Adoption Application!   update… March 2024. It’s been nearly a year and Rosey is still here. She’s now known as MiSs Priss. she’s decided she wants her own house and her own human so she can fulfill her live dreams as a diva! She’s just beautiful, but the world has too many cats, so here she sits.      Rosey was one of 36 cats that we pulled out of a local shelter last spring. She was caged there  because she had lost her hair and they didn’t know why. It was nothing more than a flea allergy.she has been spayed, vaccinated, and treated for her allergies. Her new family needs to be sure they can offer her a forever home with monthly preventative or a flea free environment. Rosey is packed full of personality. She desires a place with little to not other cats especially kittens. She loves to help her humans and be anywhere they are. Rosey enjoys hanging outside, but needs to have inside access as well. We just feel she’s going to want to cuddle with her human once she finally gets her own. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. If you are interested in meeting any of our babies, please contact us or complete an online application at https://kykittycats.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=6024 We are a super small, no kill rescue that is operating way above our capacity. Our numbers have increased exponentially since Covid. Unlike most shelters, we remained open and hit record intake numbers after the epidemic hit. We have taken in dozens of very sick felines that had no other option, and have even helped over 60 canines in 2021. 2022 was not any better.  We are trying to compute our end of the year numbers, but intake, vetting expenses, cost of food and litter for our 120 plus cats all just continues to get worse with the cost of living increasing like it has. Our rescue has also provided record number spay/neuters 2023 at well over 1200 surgeries on cats and dogs. Our accounts are drained, but we feel these surgeries are the only way we are going to be able to stay a float. We will never keep up with the rate that cats can breed in our area.  We operate solely on donations, and we are always looking for wonderful families to join our efforts. We have dozens of felines not posted and dozens more on our waiting list. No matter what type of setting you have, if you are looking to save a feline, we can find one for you to help.  Please visit and like our social media...  https://www.facebook.com/kykitties   https://instagram.com/kentuckykittycats?igshid=11qfoexi4imaf   and now we are on TIKTOK! Our PayPal and Venmo is under kykittycats@yahoo.com and our cash app is $kykittycats All donations are much appreciated, and feel free to designate how you want them spent.    March 5, 2024, 1:29 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Online Adoption Application!   Tigress and Pipsqueak came in together at 3 weeks old. They both super struggled off and on. Pip passed away, but Tigress is doing well. Tigress has a small head tilt, but we think that just makes her extra special. She has been spayed and is ready for her new forever home. She is super fond of Grinch and would do very well if adopted with him as a dual adoption.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
