Story
Meet Kirby! This handsome fella came to us as a stray, so his past is a bit of a mystery. While in our care he has been worried and sweet, so we`re going slow and letting him set the pace of how fast he comes out of his shell. With a gentle approach and snacks in hand, he`s sure to come around and show his social side! Kirby has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), a bloodborne illness in cats that may weaken their immune system over time. Some cats with FIV may not show symptoms, but it will be important to establish ongoing care with a vet after adoption to ensure that this kiddo is feeling his best.

Story
Meet Soren!Soren is handsome and has already had quite some interest, however everyone is expecting him to be a social, outgoing guy that will be out and about and actively seeking affection and attention.No.That is not Soren. Soren is an introvert to the extreme. Could that change? Sure. But you also need to go into this with the expectation that it won't change and he'll just be a shy guy because that's just...who he is. Soren is about five years old and a medium-sized kinda guy at about 12lbs. He's handsome as hell and he knows it. He's not much of an attention seeker but usually won't say no to some affection if YOU go to HIM. He doesn't seem to be the biggest fans of other cats but he isn't outwardly aggressive...just sorta passive aggressive. Lots of hissing and grumbling and being visibly upset when they're in his space. He rotates between tolerating their presence and being obviously annoyed by their existence. He would probably do best as an only cat or with a cat that will mind its own business and stay out of his space.A quiet, calm, adult only home where he can be an only child would be ideal. While he does enjoy cheek rubs and chin scratches, he will most likely never be a lap cat. There's absolutely a chance that he could do a complete 180 and become a velcro cat but we don't want anyone going into this with the expectation that they can "fix him". He doesn't need "fixing"...well, he does need to be neutered still but you know what we mean.To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Story
Meet Eclair!Eclair is a gorgeous two year old looking for a quiet, calm home to call her own! When Eclair first came to us, she was a grump. Plain and simple. She had no patience for anyone, no tolerance for shenanigans, and wouldn't hesitate to give a rapid fire slapslapslap to any human or cat that got anywhere near her. She was basically the cat version of an angry, vibrating Chihuahua. Now though?Still definitely a grump but significantly less so...which is just fine because over here, we're softies for the mean ones over here. The meaner, the better. They have their reasons. What we've discovered is that she actually really, really likes her playtime. Engaging her with toys seems to be the way to her heart. Getting her active has greatly improved her attitude and, while she'll most likely ALWAYS be a sassy diva and we wouldn't want her any other way, helping her get some of that pent up energy out has really helped her come out of her brittle, frigid shell. Aside from playtime, she likes high perches where she can sit and survey her kingdom like the queen she is. She'll tolerate a head scratch or two and then makes it pretty clear that she's over it. She'll coexist with other cats but definitely does not like if they're invading her space all the time. She'll most likely never be a lap cat but she'll share your space and make her presence known. If you're looking for a quiet companion that will be content to sit beside you but not directly on top of you, Eclair is probably your girl.To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to us at 508-677-9175.
