How would you describe the cat’s general personality? Pluto can be a bit reserved at first, but he allows pets and sometimes returns affection within a day or so. Does the cat enjoy being pet? Yes. If yes, on what parts of its body does the cat like to be pet? Head, chin, back of neck Are there any parts of its body that the cat does NOT like being touched? Tummy Does the cat come on your lap? Not yet Does the cat like to be held? He does not resist being held (especially if you scratch his head), but he does not seek it out and he may wriggle out after 30 seconds or so. Does the cat sleep in your bed? Yes Does the cat seek your attention? Sometimes Does the cat like to play? Yes, sometimes even by himself :) What are the cat’s favorite games and toys? Chasing a little foam soccer ball, laser pointer, toy mouse, wand How vocal is the cat? Not very vocal so far What kinds of sounds does the cat make? He has a very quiet, high-pitched meow   Does the cat scratch a scratcher?  Yes Does the cat always use the litter box?  Yes Is the cat picky about food? &#239&#130&#183Not particularly What is the cat’s favorite treat? Churu tuna with scallop Does the cat ever swat (claws in) at you? If so, under what circumstances? He only does it in a playful way, and it’s rare Has the cat ever scratched (claws out) you? No Does the cat ever nip (teeth without breaking skin) you? Just a love bite Has the cat ever bitten you (breaking skin)? No To the best of your knowledge, how does the cat react to new people? Social? Fearful? He is reserved at first, but he seems to be getting less afraid of new people Does that cat have any cute/quirky traits that aren’t covered by the previous questions? He is the cutest little baby cat in the world. In your opinion, what is the best thing about the cat? Why should an adopter choose THIS cat to adopt? He sits on the bed and purrs at night. He also entertains himself by chasing a ball around the room and it is very funny. What are the cat’s challenges and how have you found to best manage them? He is a bit reserved with strangers, but he is getting better. Recently I found that if you get him playing with a laser or something, he will chase it even if there are new people in the room. His fur also needs regular brushing, and he does not like being brushed so far. However, he is an easy cat to love. Not good with cats, Needs special attention, Shots are up-to-date, House-trained,
Story
Sid is a handsome 2.5-year-old stray who was found at a local farm. He is a playful, attentive, affectionate, and loving kitty. When Sid went into foster, he quickly made himself at home within two days, and he loves to be wherever his foster mom is. Whenever she’s reading or watching TV he joins her, either napping on the sofa or sitting on her lap getting a head and body massage. Sid likes to know where she is and is very happy following her around. He also enjoys being groomed. Sid loves to play, whether chasing a small ball or toy around the house, or running up and down the stairs. He is also a sports fan – he likes to watch hockey, golf, and figure skating on TV.Sid is FIV-positive, has a sensitive tummy and is currently on prescription food, but overall is very healthy. He needs to be the only pet in his home and will make someone a wonderful companion. He is a boy who loves his human!   Cats who test positive for FIV can lead a long and healthy life without medication.  Our adoption counselors have a lot of information on FIV and can assure you that he has many good years ahead.    As we are closed to the public, adoptions are by appointment only. If you are interested in meeting Sid, please fill out an adoption application on our website - www.metrowesthumanesociety.org - under Adoptions and forward it to us at mwhspaw@yahoo.com. We will review all applications and make appointments for those applicants we feel would provide a good and loving home for Sid. March 1, 2024, 9:23 am

Story
Theo and Finn are Tuxedo brothers that turned one in February. They are sweet, funny and ridiculously smart! Unfortunately I have some health issues that have led me to have to stay in the hospital for prolonged periods and there are days where I am unable to give them the attention they deserve despite my best efforts. Lately they have had been a bit anxious because I have had anxiety about my own health and they are picking up on it. Another reason I am making this decision. I would love them to stay on the Cape with the possibility of being able to visit. I would prefer them to be the only pets so they can get proper attention they deserve. The more space your home has the better. They will come with everything they need! I will be honest this is a very difficult decision and when it comes time for you to meet them there will be tears. Under no circumstances will I separate them. They love each other and need to make this transition with one another they would be very sad apart!

Story
Coco is such a love bug. She is 1 years old, very affectionate and would be a great help around the home.  She is currently rooming with Bella and they seem to have quite a liking two each other if you have room for two sweet girls.  Other cats, a cat friendly dog and older children in the home would be fine.   If you are interested in adopting, applications can be found on our website www.ahimsahaven.org. Meet and greets are with an approved application by appointment only.   As always, cats that are ready to be adopted are spayed/neutered, have age appropriate shots, are micro-chipped, dewormed/deflead, and FEL/FIV tested.March 2, 2024, 8:17 am

Story
Walle is a loving, calm, cuddly, healthy, sweet 15yr old lap cat that is very low-maintenance and LOVES his food. He has been with me for the past 15yrs, first in CT and now in Boston. We have moved 10x with each other between then and now, and he has always adapted wonderfully. I am now married with a 2.5yr old toddler and a new baby on the way in May. Walle has grown very envious of my toddler's needs and we are no longer able to keep up with his demands for affection. These demands include meowing constantly, especially during the night and waking up our family, pounding on doors, meowing when we are on work calls at home, etc. We have had his behavior checked numerous times and were assured that all he is looking for is attention. I am concerned that his behavior will only get worse when we welcome baby #2, and he deserves a home that can give him the love he deserves.
