These beautiful sisters are back from foster and ready to move into their forever homes. Kittens do best when they have a feline companion about the same age. We strongly recommend that you adopt a pair of kittens if you do not already have another young cat in your home. Our adoption fee is $150 for one kitten, $250 for two kittens. It includes a vet exam, age-appropriate vaccines, FeLV screening, microchip, and spay/neuter (at our vet). Contact BCHA at adopt@bchapets.org for more information.

Story
Wow! Felicia Day nailed it when she said, "Perfect is the most boring thing you can be, so go ahead and mess up big." I'm Sienna, a beautiful, fluffy, brown tabby and white, medium-haired, front-declawed girl who has been adopted and returned twice. Did I mess up, or was I just not the right fit for my adopters' homes? I was first adopted in November 2020 and was returned the following June because of "unpredictable behavior." I was adopted soon after that and remained in that home for three years, but I was returned because I was fighting with the other cat. Also, I would become upset because I hated being inside and was not allowed to go outdoors. They wanted to keep me safe, but I didn't understand. My owner thought that I might do best as an only cat because the stress of being around the other cat caused some behavior issues. I might do well with some stimulating activities I can do indoors, such as watching birds at a birdfeeder through a window while at a window seat - or even a catio! Watching kitty videos that feature animals on TV or playing games for cats on a tablet/iPad with my person might be fun, or possibly even learning to go for walks with a harness and leash. I also hated being brushed, which is important because of my long fur. There are different brushes and combs, even mitts, that can be tried, but all cats, especially those with longer hair, need to be groomed regularly to prevent mats. While I may not be a perfect cat, I hope that I may be just right for a patient, creative, cat-savvy person - like YOU! There is so much to love about me, so I hope you'll give me a chance to show you what a wonderful, lovable girl I am. Now I am 6 years old! The third time will be FUR-ever! Come in and meet Sienna today!Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Story
We hold these truths to be self-evident..." All cats are created equal! But Jackson and I are more equal than others! Meow! I'm Jefferson, a medium-haired white and brown tabby adult male. After our person passed away, a family member brought us to Paws and Claws. This is a big change for us both, but I'm adjusting. I'm a super friendly guy who loves to be petted. I'm playful and talkative, and like Jackson, I enjoy climbing the cat tower. After losing our person and our home, we'd probably adapt more quickly to a new home if we were adopted together. I hope you'll give me/us time to adjust and get to know you. We're lovable boys who will surely add joy to your life!Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Story
There are calicos and dilute calicos. Almost all are females. I'm Heather, a dilute calico girl who came to Paws and Claws from another rescue. I'm 11 months old. I'm quite shy, but I can be very feisty. However, if I'm approached slowly, I like to be petted. I've been playing some already, which is a sign that I will probably settle in just fine. Dilute calicos are known for being friendly and affectionate, as well as intelligent and curious, which can cause them to be mischievous at times. Is that me? Time will tell, won't it? You can't always judge a book by its cover. Spend some time getting to know Heather! I'm a beautiful girl who'd love to be your calico kitty.Adoption fee $150 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Story
Me-OW! Did you see my buddy Snooki's bio? He said I look like a mini-Wookiee! Me-OOWW! I'm a 10-year-old, medium-haired brown tabby and white male. The two of us came here via the long, circuitous route. Our person could no longer keep us and left us with her brother, who didn't want to take care of us. He brought us to Rochester Animal Control; they brought us here to the shelter. Now we want someone to adopt us so we can be settled in one place! I probably did look like a tiny Chewbacca when I arrived. My coat was matted, and my nails were so long that they had grown into my paw pads. Ouch! Now that my matted coat has been shaved and my claws have been trimmed, I am feeling much better. I will need regular brushing to keep my coat from developing new mats. Snooki and are both friendly; I am outgoing, and I love to be petted. I can be chatty, and I like to play. Since we're both older fellas, we might adjust more quickly to a new home environment if we can be adopted together. Don't let my name fool you - I'm not silly at all! I'm a great guy, so fill out an application online then shimmy on down to Paws and Claws to adopt Ninny and Snooki!Adoption fee $50 + microchip fee $30 + tax
